After the growing success of its Portuguese edition which took place from May 31 to June 4 and brought together nearly 15,000 people (compared to 10,000 in 2022) on the beaches of Costa da Caparica, MOGA Essaouira is preparing to once again welcome 16,000 festival-goers over 5 days from all across the globe.

The MOGA community now comprises over 30 nationalities who meet twice a year between Morocco (Moroccan edition in early October) and Portugal (Portuguese edition in early-June) with the desire to discover, share and experiment. As well as discovering artists, you can discover the place, the city and the local culture at the heart of the MOGA concept.

On October 4 and 5, Essaouira will host a two-day of OFF programme across various Souiri establishments comprising workshops, yoga classes, and concerts at La Sqala. On Friday October 6, Saturday October 7 and Sunday October 8, the Sofitel Essaouira Mogador Golf & Spa will once more host the three-day festival with no less than 5 stages set up across the property, and a line-up that blends Moroccan, Portuguese and international performers.

The 2023 edition of MOGA Essaouira once more demonstrates a customary blend of traditional and contemporary; of native and international — from the meandering live performances of Shkoon and Portable; to the stripped back minimalist disco sounds of Zurich’s Kalabrese; the sleek cuts of Rominimal luminary Rhadoo; the esteemed sounds of Canadian Grammy nominee Jayda G; French underground stalwart Dyed Soundorom of Apollonia; and the ever-slick selections of Gene On Earth, Malika, Margaret Dygas, and more.
