Perry Wayne is touching back down on NGHTMRE and SLANDER’s Gud Vibrations imprint, making a quick return with the release of his latest offering “WILD.” The track serves as the A-side to the devastating dubstep anthem “Freestyle,” which dropped last month.
“WILD” is a fitting moniker for the metal-meets-riddim madness that Perry Wayne concocts over the song’s three-minute run time. Grunge guitar riffs and screaming vocals give it a metal edge while a robotic countdown and industrial sound design provide the signature cyberpunk aesthetic that Wayne is making his own. The grimace-inducing riddim drops are riddled with rage and headbanging energy. This is an anthem to incite mosh pits fueled by euphoric chaos. The lyrics serve as a call to action, uniting the wildest fans to come together and get savage. Perry Wayne once again leaves a wake of destruction while carving out a unique lane in the dubstep scene.
Perry Wayne shares his delight to be back on the label, saying, “I'm very excited to release ‘WILD’ with Gud Vibrations this year. This record is one of my favorites to play out. I always love coming back to the Gud Vibrations family, and excited to showcase ‘WILD’ with them!”
The Dallas-based artist is currently on a run of North American tour dates, with an upcoming headline shows at TK Lounge (Tampa), Revel (Albuquerque), Republic NOLA (New Orleans), Sky SLC (Salt Lake City), and a very special ‘Wayne Enterprise’ set at Toxic Summer at the Midway, the live concept tied to the string of recently released conceptual EPs, including the immersive four-track ‘Rise of the Enterprise’ he unleashed on the label in March.
