OPHELIA RECORDS CELEBRATES FIVE YEAR LABEL ANNIVERSARY

As the official record label of melodic dubstep leader Seven Lions, Ophelia Records celebrates its fifth anniversary of releasing music. What started as a way for Seven Lions to independently release his own music quickly became one of the top labels in electronic music with scene-paving records, festival takeovers and sold out showcases around the country. The five year label anniversary celebrates the dedicated community of fans and the Ophelia artists who continue to push the genre forward with a digital compilation of some of its most notable catalog releases.

Since its inception in 2018, Ophelia has released the debut albums of Seven Lions, Jason Ross and Trivecta, as well as more than 200 catalog releases and hit singles. This year, Seven Lions embarks on his biggest tour to date for The Journey III with support from label acts MitiS, Trivecta, Gem & Tauri, Jason Ross and Dimibo at stops including LA State Historic Park, Tacoma Dome and three Brooklyn Mirage shows. With massive upcoming albums, tours and special activations planned for the future, it’s no doubt that Ophelia will continue to make its impact on the dance music scene for years to come.

Washington-based producer Seven Lions has never had an issue pushing the boundaries of electronic music to fulfill his creative vision. Catching a break after winning a Beatport remix contest in 2012 with his dubstep-focused version of Above & Beyond’s “You Got To Go”, Seven Lions, born Jeff Montalvo, garnered support from the likes of Anjunabeats, Casablanca, OWSLA, Viper Recordings, Republic Records, and Monstercat over the past ten years. After releasing on a plethora of labels, Seven Lions created Ophelia Records in 2018 which has since become a leading independent label in the melodic bass subgenre. Since its emergence only four years ago, the label has already made an imprint in the dance music scene having been voted Dancing Astronaut’s Label Of The Year in 2021, releasing multiple #1 iTunes Dance albums and hosting festival stage takeovers and showcases around the country. His productions have seen stages at world-renowned festivals including Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Zoo, and HARD.

In 2022, Seven Lions finally released his highly anticipated debut album ‘Beyond The Veil’. The original album debuted at #2 on Apple Music Dance Releases, reached #9 on Spotify's Album Debut Charts and #3 on Billboard's Dance Pop/Electro new releases. Each of the album's lead singles was supported on BPM radio and the album earned 63 editorial placements with the covers of Spotify's mint and mint Canada and Amazon's Fresh EDM.
