T78 delivers a menacing peak-time techno remix of Noizu and Westend’s “Push To Start,” featuring No/Me, landing on the burgeoning Insomniac Records imprint.
Italian producer T78 has proven to be a firecracker in the peak-time techno arena, known for rehashing '90s rave aesthetics into an acclaimed high energy catalog. The underground sensation is stepping up with a combustive remix of LA-based producer Noizu and New York City native Westend’s smash single “Push To Start,” which features a party-starting vocal from the talented No/Me.
His take allows the infectious vocal hook to find a newfound sense of party-starting vibes set against his signature thunderous kicks, unwavering pusles of distorted low-end fuzz, crisp hats, and pulse-raising acid riffs that allows the track to fire on all cylinders.
T78 sheds light on the approach he took with the rework, saying, “The approach to this remix was totally free. I never listened to the original version before starting the arrangement, mainly so as not to be influenced too much. I focused solely on the vocal hook and built around what I felt was right for that track. I let myself go with the flow trying to package everything around the typical T78 sound. I am quite convinced and happy with the final result and the countless tests conducted on the dance floor have fully confirmed this for me.”
The remix follows on from the recent trance-infused take from t e s t p r e s s. the original track has gone on to amass more than 17 million streams to date, while garnering tastemaker support from BBC Radio 1, KISS FM, Slam FM!, and many more. It has also been a staple in their respective sets ever since, with each of them touching down at a host of high-profile shows including EDC Las Vegas, Day Trip festival, Escape Halloween, EDSea, Noizu’s headline show at Hollywood Palladium.
T78 is the brainchild of Italian native Manuele Tessarollo, who has put his stamp on a slew of chart-topping techno weapons on some of the most buzzing labels currently in operation. Originally breaking out on the back of his massive rework of “The Outsiders” by Christian Cambas in 2018, the track put him on the map with more than 18 millions streams, as well as drawing tastemaker support from Carl Cox, Eli Brown, Spartaque, OC & Verde, Felix Kröcher, Oliver Heldens, James Hype, and many more. In 2021, he released his aptly titled ‘#onlybombs’ debut album, with the lead track “Liquid Night” racking in more than 2.2 million streams to date. His Autektone label has echoed his mission to encompass the spirit of the 90s in a modern context, with high-powered and eclectic releases that pushed it to become a Top 10 best-selling peak-time techno label on Beatport.
