GRAMMY-NOMINATED, ZEDD-COLLABORATING DUO GREY TAP DUBSTEP PIONEER VIRTUAL RIOT FOR NEW SINGLE “RAVEN” FROM FORTHCOMING EP

THE CONTRA EP IS SLATED FOR RELEASE THIS FALL

"When we started this song, the chords and production were giving epic conquest vibes, so we decided to write the lyrics as if they were a movie about a pirate king sailing the seas - think One Piece meets Game Of Thrones. We've been friends with Virtual Riot for ages, so we were super pumped that he was down to collab with us on this one! We all love how it turned out and hope you enjoy the blend of both our styles!" - Grey

"I’m so happy this song is coming out and you all get to hear it in its full glory. Michael’s voice is mad underrated in my opinion and it was an honor for me to come in and cook up some spicy drops to compliment his vocal parts." - Virtual Riot

Dance hitmakers Grey are stepping further into the spotlight. Following years producing records for global stars such as ZeddCamila Cabello, and Sofia Carson, the GRAMMY-nominated brothers Kyle and Michael Trewartha are ready to take their brand of chart-topping pop music to the next level.

Since joining forces in 2015, Grey have sustained a steady ascension through the dance music space. Initially gaining traction after cold emailing Skrillex, who was instantly enamored by the duo’s infectious creative sensibilities and asked them to remix Jack Ü’s iconic “Where Are Ü Now,” Grey were tapped to remix tracks by the likes of Selena GomezMike PosnerTroye Sivian, and Ariana Grande. These endeavors then led to global recognition for the duo’s work on Zedd's certified RIAA Triple-Platinum Record "The Middle”  - which held the #1 spot on the US Top 40 charts for five consecutive weeks, accumulated three GRAMMY nominations, and two iHeartRadio Music Awards - and Zedd’s RIAA Quadruple Platinum Record “Starving” with singer Hailee Steinfield, which landed #5 on the US Top 40 charts.

Now, Grey is revving up towards The Contra EP - a 5-track collection that promises to thrill listeners with an opulent mix of deep bruising bass and grimy house stylings. Adventurous, emotional, and brimming with endless creativity, The Contra aims to take Grey out of the shadows of peers they helped catapult to stardom, and solidify the duo as proper stars themselves.

Following the release of previous single “7-DS” featuring producer AWAYGrey unveils “RAVEN,” a dynamic bass-fueled cut with Los Angeles-based dubstep producer Virtual Riot, an artist known for his energetic DJ sets, complex soundscapes, and collaborations with ModestepNGHTMRE, and PRXZM. Filled to the brim with crisp, expertly crafted electronic production, “RAVEN” showcases the duo’s immaculate technique and ability to accompany catchy vocals with potent, cathartic songwriting, all while seamlessly blending Virtual Riot’s cacophonous dubstep euphoria.
