ROHAAN DELIVERS ELEGANT DRUM & BASS FOLLOW-UP SINGLE "SOMETHING IN THE GREEN" ON HARD RECS

The drum & bass luminary finds a certain shade of green on his sophomore single for HARD Recs.

Manchester-based producer Rohaan is emerging as one of the most refreshing figures in the drum & bass realm, whilst continually exploring the many subgenres of bass music. Starting the year off strong, Rohaan returns to HARD Recs with his sophomore single, “Something In The Green,” a lush D&B track underpinned by the romantic vocals of Courtney Drummey.

Something In The Green” flows into the stratosphere, introducing itself with a whisk of airy textures before the soft and delicate singing of Courtney Drummey glides atop a web of emerald-colored melodies and lofty pads. Taking us on an enchanted journey through soundscapes and elegance, Rohaan’s signature reserve of low-end frequencies shines ever so eloquently across an array of complex drum patterns.

’Something in the Green’ is track 2 of my ‘Boy in a Dream’ series of releases, which is built of dreamy music that revolves around my synesthesia,” says Rohaan. “As I was making the track, I was seeing the colour green the whole time, which led to the title and the sounds that you hear (that I feel match that energy). To help convey that message, I reached out to Courtney Drummey, who delivered such an elegant vocal about my relationship with synesthesia. I feel like this record is a great second release with HARD and an awesome follow-up to ‘Euphoric.’”

Rohaan’s recent label debut, “Euphoric,” on HARD Recs was featured on BBC Radio 1 Introducing and was also plugged into his very own guest mix for George FM. Gaining recognition from his peers, as well as being touted in UKF’s Top 20 Producers list, Rohaan’s high-energy compositions have catapulted his name to the festival forefront. He’s coming off a streak of dates in North America, including stops at EDC Orlando and Insomniac’s NYE Countdown to top off a fruitful 2022. Looking ahead, Rohaan will be making his way over to host his debut appearance at the sold-out Electric Forest festival taking place in Rothbury, Michigan at the end of June.

With a series of new releases forthcoming over the next several months with HARD Recs, Rohaan’s profile looks to grow on an already expansive support list which includes bass heavyweights such as Noisia, Dirtyphonics, NGHTMRE, SLANDER & RL Grime. Keep your eyes peeled for more multisensory magic from the one they call Rohaan.
