Detroit-based DJ and producer Wave Point, formerly known as one-half of Golf Clap, unveils his latest single “Blurry Lines” in advance of his anticipated debut album, Higher Dimension.

“Blurry Lines” is an infectious house groove dominated by a pulsating kick drum beat over live drums and a high-tide of galactic synth tones that gear this track up for the dancefloor.

The quiet of quarantine spurred the launch of his solo Wave Point project, under which Bryan Jones is the mastermind behind serving up slick, soulful grooves. The album Higher Dimension is a product of a virtual collaboration with musicians from around the world, contributing to each track’s masterful mix of live instrumentation. Because he was stuck in isolation, Jones went online and hired bass players, string quartets and a myriad of other musicians from around the world who he had never even met, making Higher Dimension a showcase of an artist in total control.

Through the Golf Clap project and its Country Club Disco label and radio shows, Wave Point won the hearts of fans at Lollapalooza, Movement, EDC, Electric Forest and more. Wave Point’s album singles have already garnered support from artists including Lee Foss, Mikey Lion, Pat Lok, Craze, Huxley, CID, Maximono, Steve Darko, Westend, Codes, and more.

ABOUT HIGHER DIMENSION

Being stuck in quarantine meant Wave Point had to get creative with securing session players for the album. He went online and hired bass players, string quartets and a myriad of other musicians from around the world who he had never ever met, making Higher Dimension a showcase of an artist in total control.

Higher Dimension mixes classic house nostalgia with futuristic techniques and lofi feeling. Its disco-laced tunes shine bright with organic sounds and that comforting human touch, and the debut album plays funky with instrumental fills and warm textural layers.
