SUPERTASTE’S NEW SINGLE “IN YOUR HEAD” OUT NOW ON KITSUNÉ MUSIQUE

Marks third single from their forthcoming Super Classic EP due out in August via Casablanca Sunset

“In Your Head” is really just about keeping your eyes ahead. Constantly looking behind you, examining & questioning all the moves you made only keeps you from the present moment. It’s about the value in hope for the future instead of dwelling on the past. Getting out of your own head and out of your own way.”

ABOUT Supertaste
Supertaste is composed of Hundreds Thousands (featured in DJ Mag’s emerging artist column) and Hype Machine darling Slug Father. Both DJs come from burgeoning solo careers, with Hundreds Thousands having supported sonically diverse artists Mija, Break Science, and Papadosio in addition to performing at popular Thailand music festival, Jai Thep last year. Slug Father has performed at New York's Governor’s Ball, as well as supported RJD2 and Zimmer at the Brooklyn Bowl and Bowery Ballroom, respectively.

Supertaste is a Brooklyn-based duo with an appetite for deli sandwiches and disco. The pair aims to bring you that warm feeling of walking to your favorite bodega after a night of dancing.

In 2020, mid-pandemic, Supertaste collected their belongings in Brooklyn and ventured to a cabin in the woods to make an indie-dance record. The duo packed up their studio and road tripped to Bristol, Tennessee, where they produced their forthcoming Super Classic EP. They cleared out the cabin’s living room furniture and recreated Supertaste studios in the mountains, with a view out over South Holston Lake and the Cherokee National Forest. The epic scenery served as a source of inspiration fueling both creativity and productivity throughout the writing and production process.

Prior to the writing process, Supertaste debuted their first release in the Summer of 2020, the Breakup Disco EP. The 4-song release received support from a variety of outlets online including Spotify’s editorial playlist, “Soda,” along with artists like Washed Out (dj mix + artist playlist), The Knocks (artist playlist), Goldroom (artist playlist), and more. Beyond accolades and streaming numbers, the duo’s mission is to bring listeners that warm feeling of walking to your favorite bodega after a night of dancing in the city. Be on the lookout for more to come from this talented emerging group.
