Bringing together five burgeoning artists for one immense single, Subtle But True is proud to present their first official Subtle But True release. With several distinct drops and elements brought together by the SBT roster of DRAGOS, Fools of Wisdom, MATT DOE, Mike Danglez, and REMETI, ‘Mirage’ breaks the creative boundaries of modern trap and bass. ‘Mirage’ is available on all streaming platforms now via Subtle But True.
The strength and ingenuity of ‘Mirage’ lies in its multiplicity of stylistic choices and production skills brought by the diverse cast of artists. After a brief intro, the track’s first drop is a gritty dubstep headbanger that deploys a bouncy rhythm under devastating wobbles. From there, ‘Mirage’ immediately moves into another riser before a flurry of laser-esque synths ramp the instrumentals' energy even higher. Finally, the productional quintet provides relief via a soothing melodic breakdown, only to build up to another frenetic bass drop with a swath of synth stabs and runs leading the way. On the fourth and final drop, the melodic elements are dropped once again as unrelenting walls of bass consume the track and leave the listener rattling. Expect for ‘Mirage’ to wreak havoc at DJ sets or at-home raves across the country all summer long.

About Dragos: Born in Romania but now based in Canada, Dragos’ versatile sound relies on the eclectic music he’s been exposed to throughout his life. His unique blend of hip-hop, trap, DnB, and house earned him a spot on Subtle But True’s team in 2020, and with several singles now under his belt he hasn’t looked back one bit. Equipped with an endless supply of tools and tricks, Dragos’ potential is limitless.
About Fools of Wisdom: A young duo hailing from the province of Quebec, Fools of Wisdom have been making waves in the dubstep scene since they began hosting their own events in 2017. The pair of best friends have quickly outgrown their local scene, moving on to several label releases including their hit ‘ANUBIS’ via Dim Mak. Well known for their charismatic and high-energy live shows, Fools of Wisdom are certainly ones to watch moving forward.
About MATT DOE: Few have risen through the bass ranks quicker than Canadian DJ and producer MATT DOE. Since releasing his debut EP ‘Tremor’ in 2019 featuring hit single ‘Fire Penguin,’ Doe has gone on to release on several major labels including Subcarbon, Subsidia, BassRush, Dim Mak, Underdog Records and DSV Audio. Always pushing his boundaries in the studio and trying new things, he also aims to encourage others to do the same and to enjoy the process of creating.
About Mike Danglez: Known as the ‘Dubstep Dad,’ Mike Danglez is a multifaceted Quebec-based producer that infuses everything from hard trap to melodic dubstep into his productions. After breaking into the scene with his 2020 debut EP ‘No Boundaries,’ Danglez has gone on to work with several prominent labels including Ganja White Night’s Subcarbon Records. As he continues to develop his sound, expect Danglez to become a household name on the release radar and the festival circuit.
About REMETI: Leaning into the experimental side of things with her dark and funky style, REMETI is a celebrated producer and DJ based in Montreal, Canada. Locally known for her masterful audience engagement and contagious energy, her live shows showcase her expertly-constructed harmonies that crossover mainstream and underground appeal. With releases on SUS Collective and Obskure under her belt, REMETI is ready to break out into the global music scene in a big way.
