Sunday was the return of the rock, with heavyweight sets from some of Canada’s finest acts, including Toronto’s July Talk; Montreal art rockers Stars, and Allan Rayman who's captivating set was mind-blowing. Among Sunday’s highlights was a fierce and trippy set of future grunge from Axlaustade (the name is a reference to Axl Rose's implosion at the Big O), a supergroup performing live for the first time, consisting of Dumas, Malajube’s Francis Mineau, and producer Jonathan Dauphinais, as well as a blistering set of psychedelic rock from Montreal’s now legendary, The Damn Truth. Montreal multi-instrumentalist, Geoffroy, was a revelation while hometown heroes, Half Moon Run, had the crowd completely enraptured, bringing it all home full circle to close out the festival.
