A Toronto based company, Hipnotik Events is partnering with King & Queen Events, Gruve, Satori Apparel and Canadian Ravers to present an online Valentine’s Day party. This online event will take place over the course of 2 days featuring a number of different artists from the GTA including 2 international artists, 1 from California & 1 from the UK. There will also be a giveaway during the event brought to you by Satori Apparel, so be on the lookout for a post on their pages in the upcoming days mentioning how to participate. Artists Biographies:
YUKA K - Originally from Osaka and currently based in Toronto, Yuka is passionate about her love of music. Yuka optimistically started her own event and talent company in January of last year, THE KCN AGENCY featuring a number of unique local hosts and performers. She has streamed hundreds of hours live for a dedicated worldwide fan base, sharing music and laughter together while at home.
RYPE - In a music scene that has seen a dynamic shift over the last year, RYPE has established himself as an artist to keep an eye on. Co-founder of the stream event series The Pulse (which is nearing its 25th episode), RYPE has helped create a space where artists and listeners alike can hang out and listen to different genres of music from DJs around the world while being in the comfort of their own home. Specializing in House music and its various sub genres, RYPE’s streams never disappoint. With live shows on hold for the time being, 2021 will also see RYPE venture into the production world. Follow him if you haven’t, big things are on the way!
EJ-BEATS - He takes his mantra “Only Bangers” to heart, bringing nothing but the hottest bass and tech into his sets. This California stud learned to dj playing at his universities house parties. Post grad, he is keeping the energy alive Tuesdays and Fridays on twitch as well as in his monthly video mix-tapes on YouTube!
JANVERSE - An open format DJ from Scotland who, pre-covid, had 4 weekly residencies at nightclubs across the country. With 6 years experience of playing in nightclubs, Janverse made the switch to streaming his sets on Twitch in July 2020 following the closure of late night venues across the UK. He set out with the aim of providing people with a clubbing from home experience and showcasing his talents to a more global audience. If you’re missing the vibe that nightclubs provide and enjoy any and all forms of House Music and Drum and Bass, Janverse is the guy for you.
MAND0 - A St. Catharines based DJ in the Niagara Falls area. Some venues hes played at include The Mansion House, Jacks Cantina and Carters sports bar. Going from tech house to bass house in a energy filled house set, look out for him in the near future.
VYMVN - A Toronto raised teenage boy. Vymvn grew up surrounded by the sounds of the city. From the street performers found at Dundas Square, to the Toronto Symphony Orchestra at Roy Thomson Hall. He was easily drawn towards the art. Being brought up from a single parent in Canada, Vymvn faced several obstacles with hoping to pursue any formal musical training. Self-taught, he quickly was able to learn his craft through countless hours reading and watching his mentors online. Vymvn found himself performing at many notable venues locally, such as the Toronto Opera House, NEST, Peterborough Showplace, and many more. With several releases on A-List labels, his music has caught the attention of multiple taste makers within the EDM scene such as Brooks, Don Diablo, Nicky Romero, Blasterjaxx and more. Gaining international recognition on every release, Vymvn continues to successfully break through his continually evolving market.
HOLLY HOUSECAT- A very passionate artist from Toronto. Breaking into the scene since 2017 she DJs, paints and produces house and dubstep music under another alias, Miss Zolly. She has played the Holy Ship & Friendship pre-parties in Miami Florida, as well as Valhalla Sound Circus in Quebec and Shambhalas own Bloom nightclub in BC. CHRIS DAKISS - Originally from Greece, raised in Toronto, he has been in the Downtown music scene since 2010. Recently with his his first song release “You Broke Me First” ft. Joseph Hayden under his new alias, Chris Dakiss brings a variety of mixing techniques to the decks. Optimistic about the future of events, hes hoping people can start dancing again sometime soon.
JOSEPH HAYDEN - A DJ & Music Producer from Toronto, Canada. Breaking into the scene back in 2016 some would say that Joseph is an avid music lover that loves to make people party and dance. He has played at venues in Toronto Including Drip (Formerly Li’ly Lounge), Bassline Music Bar and Socialite, building his fanbase through his smooth transitions and solid track selection. He has released two remixes with artists like Hip Hops very own Adrian Terell from Kitchener, ON & House DJ Chris Dakiss from Toronto, ON, He plans on releasing original content starting this year so make sure that you check him out now on Spotify, Soundcloud & Mixcloud to find out what all the hype is about!
MARCOS SOARES - He began to get involved with music in 1998 by going to clubs in the cities of Belo Horizonte and Sao Paulo - Brazil, from there came the interest in the art of DJing. He played in some clubs and raves in the 2000's. After some time as a DJ he decided to dedicate himself to music production, in which he stood out amongst the majority of DJs in the city. Due to other tasks (studies and work) he had to move away from music for several years. Marcos has then decided to return to active music production and Discotheque without forgetting the origins, he keeps on playing Vinyl.
SHAZAMI RAMI - A house DJ based in Toronto, Ontario. After first being captivated by electronic music in 2014, he’s developed an eclectic taste for all kinds of dance music, but in particular house most of all. As the scene moved online in 2020, he began making a name for himself in the Twitch DJ community, building a fan base and connecting with other DJs across North America. In addition to his own weekly Twitch stream, he’s played digital festivals including Party Tutorial’s Halloween and Winter Wonderland events.
CTRL ZERO - CTRL ZERO is a Toronto based DJ duo made up of artists Aaron Malig and Kevin Cheuk. CTRL ZERO has built a strong reputation in the Canadian music scene through playing at many different shows and gigs. Together, these two have taken the music scene by storm with their incredible performances. The duo has performed around the GTA at some of the top nightlife venues, including Modrn Nightclub and Club 77. CTRL ZERO has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with talented artists such as Dzeko, 88 Glam and many more.
YÖSH - Beginning DJing parties and soon clubs in University Yösh soon discovered Ableton Live and was lucky enough to stumble across and learn from 2 great teachers and mentors, DJ Shine a.k.a. Jason Spanu and Grammy winning producer Omar “Ridiculous” Riad, who’ve both worked with the likes of OVO, Nelly Furtado, Kanye West, The Weeknd, Frank Ocean, and many more. He continued learning from Shine and Riad. Having achieved an early goal of his, he DJ'd Toronto’s infamous nightclub “The Hoxton”. This inspiration carried forward to more clubs, and parties. Yösh began taking several trips to Los Angeles, California to find inspiration in the warm pacific coast, diving deep into the writing, and production of his first several releases. Currently sitting on several completed tracks and of new tech-house projects influenced heavily from talented producers such as John Summit, Biscuits, PAWSA, Westend, and Dillon Nathaniel, Yösh is excited to share his new sound with the world.

Tom Skordakis, Founder of Hipnotik Events and his partner Joseph Quesnelle have been working together during the pandemic to create a multitude of House Music shows to keep people dancing from the comfort of their homes. They have been sourcing talent from all over the GTA and plan to take on some international artists in the near future. Of course, during COVID things have been a little tricky, but these 2 plan to take these events to the clubs Downtown when venues start re-opening.
