SPACE YACHT CELEBRATES 6-YEAR ANNIVERSARY WITH FIRST TECH MY HOUSE COMPILATION

Featuring 17 tracks from Space Yacht regulars and new rising talent

In October, global party brand Space Yacht pivoted from throwing 150 shows around the world annually, to launching its own record label. This month, Space Yacht celebrates their 6-year anniversary with their first-ever TECH MY HOUSE compilation.

The inaugural compilation features 17 tracks from Space Yacht regulars like SkiiTour, Ranger Trucco, Luke Andy, Qlank, Casmalia, Ocean Roulette, and of course event co-founder LondonBridge. A ton of promising new names are hopping on the roster, such as MR. STILØ, Tony H, Burko, and Aidan Sokol, many of whom were discovered on Space Yacht's demo listening Twitch series, Tune Reactor. Tune Reactor started during COVID as a reaction video crossed with a demo review show, and since its inception, Space Yacht’s founders have listened to over 2000 demos on the program, broadcasting 3 days a week. Ultimately, 80% of the new label’s releases have been signed from the show’s demo submissions, including Crimson Child, CLB, and VRG.

Many of the artists featured are brand new, earning their place on the compilation thanks to their compelling productions as opposed to their social media status or notoriety. Recreating the highs, lows, and overall emotion of a great DJ set, the compilation is meant to be listened from start to finish, similar to an artist album or DJ mix.

Since launching in 2015, Space Yacht has built up its reputation for hosting massive anniversary events in their home base of L.A., featuring artist fan favorites and surprise guest performers to commemorate the success of the brand and its protégés. Past celebrations have welcomed massive North American debuts from artists  like Habstrakt, Dombresky, VNSSA, the late i_o, OMNOM, Basstrick, Noizu, and more from the label’s championing postgrad talent roster, who have moved on to establish international touring careers.

"When we started to think about putting together the compilation, we wanted to stay true to our mission of giving new artists a platform for their music," explains co-founder Rami Perlman. "Eighty percent of the records we signed for this compilation were discovered on Tune Reactor. From a curation standpoint, we wanted to put together a collection of tracks that worked together as if it were a DJ set.”
