OUT NOW ON DON DIABLO’S GENERATION HEX LABEL
Saint Punk is serving up another dose of Grunge House with his latest single “Fight” on Don Diablo’s Generation HEX label, inspired by his reaction to the inequality of civil rights across the US that sparked the Black Lives Matter movement.
“Fight” kicks off with a driving 4/4 beat, as vocals sift to the forefront before kicking off into unrelenting punches of bass. The beatdown of rumbling bass lines and dark drum breaks in “Fight” lend themselves perfectly to Don Diablo’s Generation HEX label, which launched last year as a hub for unique, left-of-center sounds.
“Fight” follows a similar theme to Saint Punk’s August single “Molotov Cocktail,” the sophomore release on his own imprint Graffiti Records which amplified his vocals and frustrations with injustice. The bass-driven track received support from the likes of What So Not, Black Tiger Sex Machine, Codeko, Drezo, and Styles & Complete. August also welcomed the release of Saint Punk’s collaboration with Swedish production trio Brohug titled "Brake", which dropped on Armada. “Brake” currently sits at the #22 record overall on 1001Tracklists, and was supported by superstar DJs such as David Guetta, Afrojack, Oliver Heldens and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.
An innovator of Grunge House, Saint Punk’s sound is instantly recognizable with a slew of combustive releases on Tchami’s Confessions label last year, including “Menace”, which was heard by Tchami crowds at 2019 festivals around the world, as well as rinsed by the likes of Jauz, Ephwurd, and Insomniac Night Radio.
Saint Punk continues to share his studio knowledge with his bi-monthly Band Practice YouTube series, during which he lifts the curtain of music production and invites his community to learn directly from the source.
