D-EDGE RIO CELEBRATES 1 YEAR AND ESTABLISHES ITSELF AS ONE OF LATIN AMERICA'S LEADING CLUBS

With a history spanning over two decades in the electronic music scene, D-Edge, originally based in São Paulo, brought its iconic brand to Rio de Janeiro. Located in the Port Zone, in a retrofitted early 20th-century building on the Olympic Boulevard, the cultural complex led by visionary DJ and entrepreneur Renato Ratier blends music, art, fashion, design, and gastronomy across four floors of pure innovation.

Art, Music, and Innovation: The Soul of D-Edge Rio

With a prime location and a modern, laid-back structure, D-Edge Rio has already established itself as a stage for major names in global electronic music, including Charlotte De Witte, Pete Tong, Traumer, Gerd Janson, Gui Boratto, Âme Live, DJ Tennis, and, of course, Ratier himself. In addition to renowned artists, the club also provides a platform for local talent and emerging DJs, reaffirming its commitment to revitalizing the scene.

More Than Music: A Complete Cultural Experience

Since its inauguration in November 2023, D-Edge Rio has stood out for offering more than dance floors. Within its 2,500 square meters, the Rio-based club has become a cultural hub.

At the heart of the venue is Cosmos, a contemporary art gallery showcasing artistic installations, paintings, sculptures, and photographs that ignite visitors' creativity. Meanwhile, the Ratier Store combines urban fashion and music, featuring exclusive pieces and a special selection of vinyl records.

Later this year, a contemporary industrial-style restaurant is set to open, further expanding the space's cultural offerings.

The Main Floor: A Showcase of Technology and Sensations

The centerpiece of D-Edge Rio is its main dance floor, located on the fourth floor and designed by renowned architect Muti Randolph, who also designed the São Paulo venue. By combining sound, lighting, and ambiance, the dance floor elevates the audience's experience to a whole new level.

The exclusive sound system, developed in partnership with KW Audio, is considered one of the most sophisticated in the world. For the curious, there's even a secret VIP booth for a more intimate experience with the DJs.

Sunsets and the Guanabara Bay View

The rooftop of D-Edge Rio is a spectacle on its own. Boasting breathtaking views of Guanabara Bay, the space transforms into an open-air dance floor during sunset events, creating unforgettable moments for attendees.

ACE AURA AND AMIDY UNVEIL DEBUT COLLAB “ILLUMINATE” OUT NOW OPHELIA RECORDS

Bass music producer Ace Aura and melodic dance singer, songwriter and DJ Amidy team up on their collab “Illuminate”. The track blends Ace Aura’s signature color bass production effortlessly switching between melodic and heavy styles to complement Amidy’s soaring vocals.

The sound of Ace Aura is unmistakable: marimbas, trance-inspired synths and heaps of colorful dubstep basses. The Dallas-born Eric Seall spent the better part of a decade crafting and helping popularize what would come to be known as “future riddim.” While many in his field make music that is equal parts heavy and melodic, those elements are one and the same for Ace Aura; his basses have chords running through their very fibers.

Inspired by both the brostep of yesteryear and his Christian faith, Seall aims to bring light to the bass music scene by promoting a wholesome lifestyle, musical uniqueness and exceptional production. To say this has caught on would be an understatement, as he has amassed more than 20 million streams on Spotify to date and earned cosigns from just about every A-list bass DJ one could imagine (not the least of which include Skrillex, Zomboy, Seven Lions, NGHTMRE, Flux Pavilion and SLANDER). He also regularly releases on prolific dance labels such as Monstercat, Ophelia, Disciple, NSD and Circus.

Ace Aura is known for his high-energy DJ sets, which seamlessly flow between expertly-curated waves of dubstep, hardwave, trap and hardstyle, with a sprinkle of nostalgic pop cuts. His presence has graced more than a fair share of coveted stages, including Excision’s Lost Lands & Bass Canyon, Red Rocks Amphitheatre (as direct support for Subtronics), Electric Zoo and Wobbleland. In 2023, he embarked on his first-ever headline run: the Crystal Coalition Tour.

Nolan Atkins, aka Amidy, is a Dallas-based melodic bass producer and vocalist. Known for his emotional vocals and catchy production style, Amidy broke into the scene singing on William Black’s single "Daydreamer" in 2018. He then collaborated on notable dance staples, “Riptide” with Trivecta and “Way Down” with Au5 and Karra in 2019. In 2020, he released solo singles with Ophelia and Lowly, collaborated again with William Black, and released a collab with HALIENE.

2021 was a breakout year, including collabs with ARMNHMR and Seven Lions, his own duet with KARRA, and his debut EP Sanctuary released via SLANDER’s label Heaven Sent. In addition to the releases, Amidy also debuted his live vocal performance to thousands of fans across the US with performances at festivals such as Lost Lands and EDC Las Vegas, and supporting artists like ARMNHMR and Chime. 2022 saw Amidy continue his fast ascent in the scene, supporting HALIENE’s full Glass Heart tour, releasing music with Insomniac’s Lost In Dreams label, and playing numerous festivals while joining Blanke’s tour in the fall. Now, in 2024, Amidy has cemented his place among the biggest names in dance music, collaborating with Excision on "Next to You," Ganja White Night, and Wooli on "Rise Up." These projects showcase his

ever-evolving artistry and reinforce his status as one of bass music’s most exciting rising talents.

As the official record label of melodic dubstep leader Seven Lions, Ophelia Records is a label that promotes independent dance music across a wide range of genres. In just five years, Ophelia has become one of the hottest labels in electronic music thanks to its tight-knit community and ability to connect fans of melodic bass, dubstep, trance, psytrance, drum & bass, house and beyond. With over 200 catalog releases from acts such as SLANDER, Excision, Kill The Noise, MitiS, Jason Ross, NGHTMRE, Wooli, Trivecta, Blastoyz, Crystal Skies and Last Heroes, Ophelia has multiple #1 iTunes dance records and has been supported on the covers of mint and danceXL with additional playlisting on New Music Friday, Dance Rising, Bass Arcade and SiriusXM BPM. The label has also sold out showcases at Echostage, Avant Gardner and Red Rocks, as well as hosted festival stage takeovers at Electric Zoo, Miami Music Week, Nocturnal Wonderland and more.
