îLESONIQ, presented by Bell, is gearing up for its 10th edition, and the excitement is already building with the announcement of two iconic headliners: John Summit and Illenium. This milestone edition, taking place on August 9 and 10, 2025, at Parc Jean-Drapeau, promises an unforgettable weekend of music, dancing and unique experiences, all in celebration of a decade of Montreal’s favourite electronic music festival! As always, remember you can get the party started early with îLESONIQ in the City, the official pre-party happening downtown on Friday, August 8 (more details to come!). 

John Summit. Need we say more? Recently nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album of the Year at the Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs), the Chicago-born DJ and producer has taken the global house music scene by storm, bringing infectious beats and a high-energy vibe that resonates with fans across the world. Montreal is no exception – this September, Summit played to a sold-out crowd at the Olympic Park! With chart-topping hits like “Deep End” and “Where You Are”, Summit has become one of the most in-demand names in electronic music today. Summit’s first-ever performance at îLESONIQ will be nothing short of an all-out celebration, setting the tone for what will undoubtedly be one of the festival’s most unforgettable years.  

Illenium is poised to bring his deeply immersive and emotionally charged set back to îLESONIQ. After lighting up the MIRAGE stage earliy in his career in 2017 and headlining b2b Excision in 2022, Illenium will finally deliver a solo headlining performance on the Bell OASIS super stage! Known for his unique blend of melodic bass, rock influences, and powerful anthems, Illenium has crafted a sound that resonates with listeners on a personal level. Hits like “Good Things Fall Apart” and “Crawl Outta Love” have cemented his place as a fan favourite, and his live shows are a true experience. Illenium’s ability to connect with fans through his music creates moments of pure magic.

DUTCH PRODUCER HUMINAL DEBUTS ON PURIFIED RECORDS WITH LUCID EP

With an impressive discography that spans some of the planet’s most in-demand imprints, including This Never Happened, Einmusika and ZeroThree, Dutch producer Huminal debuts on Purified Records with his most requested body of work to-date, his two-track Lucid EP.  

Crafting a majestic soundscape, the title track blends melodic, soaring synths with elements of trance and deep house to achieve a radiant, hybrid composition. In Flow, Huminal devises a dreamy arrangement, weaving undulating synth patterns, rhythmic percussion, and delicate keys. Exploring two powerful states of mind: Lucid embodies the sensation of sudden clarity—the moment when everything snaps into focus, and you see the world with sharpness and purpose. Flow is a tribute to life's natural rhythms, capturing the feeling of being in perfect sync. Jelle Jansen – known for his colorful and vibrant sound as Huminal – has crafted a truly unique musical identity, driven by distinctive melodies and a signature elegance. His ability to transport listeners to another world through rich sonic landscapes sets him apart. Blending organic, analogue sounds with crisp rhythmic structures, he consistently creates dynamic and inspiring music that lights up the electronic music scene. With roots in techno, progressive house, and electronica, his sought-after sound has earned him releases on top labels like This Never Happened, Einmusika, Sudbeat, and Traum. Delivering spellbinding performances at a long list of major Dutch festivals, including Loveland, Komm Schon Alter, and Mystic Garden (Melodic edition), his creations have gained support from industry heavyweights such as Nora En Pure, Armin van Buuren, Lane 8 and Eelke Kleijn.
 
The Lucid EP artwork hosts a photograph of corals, captured by Daniel Nicholson. Corals are essential marine invertebrates that form the backbone of coral reefs, supporting biodiversity by offering habitat and protection to marine species. They rely on a symbiotic relationship with photosynthetic algae called zooxanthellae, which provide the energy necessary for coral growth and calcification. However, in Australia, the Crown of Thorns Starfish (Acanthaster planci) is causing severe damage to coral reefs by preying on the coral polyps, leading to widespread coral decline. The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (@gbrmarinepark) is actively addressing this threat through science-based strategies, such as targeted starfish culling and coral restoration initiatives, to preserve reef health and resilience.
