Detroit-based house music producer Qlank returns to IN / ROTATION with his latest single, “Therapy,” dropping on September 17th.
Low-end specialist Qlank “Therapy” has been spreading joy on Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION since first surfacing on the label in 2019. He’s paying the label another visit with an extremely potent bass house track that has been a staple in his live sets—and
it’s easy to see why. Marked by squawking synth stabs, dissonant fills, muted rimshots, trippy bleeps, and murky overtones, the track’s spacious, yet locked-in rhythms have all the trappings to entice festival and club crowds alike. Shrilling accents and manipulated vocal loops echo over the percussion, adding a world full of depth behind the distinct rhythms, cutting through with an almost eerie, atmospheric allure.
