DJ S.K.T AND EDDIE CRAIG TEAM UP FOR THEIR HIGH-ENERGY DEBUT RELEASE ON IN / ROTATION, "LET THE MUSIC PLAY"

The Two Artists Debut On Insomniac’s Offshoot Imprint With a Rhythmic Tech House Heater.

DJ S.K.T and Eddie Craig are connecting for their first-ever collab, a weighty house single “Let The Music Play” released via Insomniac’s offshoot imprint IN / ROTATION.

For their debut on the label, “Let The Music Play,” the mighty pairing is setting their sights on Shannon’s timeless ‘80s record of the same name. The interpolated hook

takes on new life, set against a proper house groove propelled along by tumbling synth motifs, retro pads, shuffling drums, and sharp bass accents that take the energy to the next level. They’ve been keeping the secret weapon close to their chests since first teasing it out during their back-to-back performance last summer.

London-based tastemaker DJ S.K.T has been an unstoppable force in the house circuit for more than a decade, placing his stamp on the genre as DJ, producer, label-head and host of his weekly KISS FM UK residency.

Says DJ. S.K.T about the collaboration, “Me and Eddie Craig got together last summer and started working on this record. Ive been hammering it in my live sets and it always goes down a treat! Really happy to be getting it finally out there!”

On the other end, Eddie Craig is an award-winning, multi-platinum certified producer who's also an esteemed personality on the KISS airwaves. Pummeling through dance space in the same orbit, it was only a matter of time before they officially linked up for a collaboration.

Eddie Craig depicts the meaning of the song simply: "Loving & Celebrating Life whilst getting lost in the music can only happen when the music plays."

With "Let the Music Play," the duo presents an energetic, dancefloor-ready anthem perfect for igniting the summer heat.

AZZECCA LAUNCHES HER NEW PARTY BRAND ‘COSIMEA’

‘An exploration of forward thinking and other-worldly club sounds’

An ARC Music Festival afterparty, Smartbar Chicago, August 30th

Plus her cosmic vibe Mindchatter remix out now

Chicago’s high-energy, acid/dark dance DJ/producer Azzecca launches her new party brand ‘Cosimea’ into the electronic world in the form of an ARC Music Festival Chicago afterparty on August 30th at the iconic Smartbar (previous residents inc. Frankie Knuckles, Derrick Carter, The Blessed Madonna). This will be Azzecca’s third year playing at ARC in her home town, so it’s the ideal venue for the first Cosimea party, which takes the place of her Dirty Disco series in Chicago, with guests Salute and X CLUB..

Both sound- and artist-wise, Cosimea will spotlight the ‘slightly left of centre, cosmic vibe’ which is newly hitting dancefloors. Crucially, the new brand keeps and expands the ethos of her previous much-loved, female-safety-focused global event series ‘Dirty Disco’, providing inclusivity and safe spaces for all communities to enjoy cosmic sounds and hot emerging talent.

Tastemakers’ favourite Azzecca, with strong support inc. BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders, Danny Howard, Sarah Story, Arielle Free, and shows at Coachella, Movement Festival, Elsewhere Brooklyn, Radio 1 Ibiza as well as ARC, keeps conquering new worlds of success after a rocket of a career blast-off, releasing on DGTL, Kompakt, Maccabi House, Higher Ground, and now…

Azzecca’s new remix of Mindchatter’s ‘Corporate Shakespeare’ just dropped on ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective in partnership with Ninja Tune on July 25th. Azzecca says she ‘really leaned into that cosmic sound with this’, taking the original’s quirkily enjoyable robotic, fuzzily distorted, love-child of Kraftwerk and Devo with vocals by HAL (‘2001’), and making it club-ready. The beings in her ‘other world’ clearly like raving as much as we do, with a punchy, much faster, stronger beat/bass, the distorted melodies having a flavour of her acid-drop recent singles, and the mechanised vocals now asking ‘do you have the bandwidth’ in the breakdowns. Yes, we do.

Says Azzecca: ‘Although I owned the Dirty Disco name and trademark, a collective in Texas who’d previously used the name asked me for the use of it, and out of a love and respect for queer spaces in dance music, I was more than happy to hand over the trademark to allow them to grow and flourish. Now I am more than looking forward to the future, as I’ve taken this opportunity and time with my team to create a new project that feels like a true extension of the Azzecca brand. ‘Cosimea’ will grow to be much, much more than an event series.’

* Cosimea at Smartbar: tickets will go on sale at 12PM CT on Wednesday July 31st exclusively to ARC pass holders.
