While his recent release Setema is still making waves across the scene, Italian-Swiss musical maestro EDX strikes again with another club heater, Anamnesis on Sirup Records.

Delving into a deep soundscape, EDX crafts a mysterious atmosphere with undulating pads and vast instrumentation, enhanced by alluring vocals. Introducing a striking synth line and driving bass, his latest record fuses melodic techno with progressive elements to achieve a truly magnetic atmosphere. Calling upon his decades of experience to deliver yet another enchanting addition to his back catalogue, this hybrid cut showcases a different side to his sound, while maintaining the indomitable EDX production quality.
 
One of the most dedicated, hard-working figures in the industry, Grammy-nominated DJ, producer and label head, EDX, has spent almost three decades at the forefront of electronic music. Founding the internationally renowned record company Sirup Music in 2002, his imprints have chartered hits by iconic acts including Avicii, Armin van Buuren, Steve Angello, Tiësto and more. Following the success of sold-out, eleventh edition of GRIDLIFE Midwest, which brought headliners Zeds Dead and Mersiv to Michigan’s Gingerman Raceway earlier this month, grassroots motorsport and lifestyle brand GRIDLIFE is proud to present their brand-new ‘Music Festival At High Speed’ concept - GRIDLIFE Summer Apex Music & Motorsports Festival.

Taking place from Friday, July 26 - Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI, the inaugural edition of GRIDLIFE Summer Apex invites car aficionados and music lovers alike to revel in the premier ‘Speed Meets Sounds’ experience.

GRIDLIFE Summer Apex will serve up a monster evening of electronic music performances on Saturday, July 27, headlined by GRAMMY-winning superstar deadmau5 and WAKAAN label boss Liquid Stranger, with support sets from bass music producer Dogma and other regional acts (to be announced soon.) In addition to Saturday night’s official music programming, the three-day event will offer various pop-up music experiences throughout the park.

GRIDLIFE Summer Apex will welcome a full weekend of racing, drifting, music, and car culture at one of the most prestigious race tracks in the world, Road America. Located in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, this track offers challenging turns and exhilarating straights, backdropped with serene greenery, immersing thousands of adrenaline-seekers in a multisensory motorsports journey. 

On the race track, GRIDLIFE Summer Apex will host Time Attack races, drifting, GLTC club race series, GRIDLIFE Rush SR national championship, a hand-selected car showcase, HPDE Sessions, Sunday Driver Program and much more on the historic 4-mile circuit.

The best way to get the full GRIDLIFE Summer Apex experience is to camp on-site at the Road America Campgrounds. The festival offers multiple camping options including tent sites available across the grounds, RV Non-Trackside (with hookups and without), RV Trackside (with hookups and without) which provides some of the best on-track viewing action throughout the weekend. TROYBOI RELEASES ‘4 ON DA FLOOR’ EP

Out now via Create Music, the four-track package sees Troy explore the housier side of his creative repertoire and follows the critically acclaimed release of ‘Dhunga’ in April and ‘Híbrido’ in May.

One of electronic music’s biggest hitters is back in the saddle for an EP of epic proportions. Riding a wave of international acclaim off the back of his first two lead singles, ‘Dhunga’ and ‘Hibrido’, which were released earlier this year, Miami-based, British artist TroyBoi now unveils the full four-track package, as he drops ‘4 ON DA FLOOR’.

Marking the latest chapter in TroyBoi’s already star-studded career, 4 ON DA FLOOR delivers an infectious musical journey that moves through a diverse array playful landscapes, blending the British record producer’s trademark sound design with fresh, innovative sensibilities. The EP is built upon the formidable foundations laid by its previously released singles, ‘Dhunga’ and ‘HÍBRIDO’, which enjoyed global recognition following their respective releases in April and May of this year. Now seeing the light of day for the first time, Troy completes the four-track opus with the never-before-heard singles ‘Viper’ ft. Guaynaa and ‘Petrunko’.

First up is ‘Viper’, a high-octane slice of reggaeton-infused house that oozes charm from the outset. Whistful horns, frenzied rhythms and an energetic topline from globally renowned Puerto Rican rapper and singer Guaynaa form the backbone of the cut, as the two artists take us on a slick peak-time journey through sun-drenched tones and bouncing rhythms.

Last but by no means least, Troy offers up his fourth and final original production – and the ID he’s been opening most of his recent sets with – ‘Petrunko’. A masterpiece of a finale delivered by an artist whose creativity seems to know no bounds, big drops, intermittent vocal samples and water-tight production values shine front and centre, as the formidable British artist pulls out all the stops to conclude an extraordinary EP release on Create.
