MATHAME ANNOUNCES FIRST CHAPTER OF NEOLOGY WITH A SHOW IN BEIRUT

Following the recent announcement of Mathame’s new chapter in their creative universe, NEOLOGY, the duo now reveals a show to kick things off. On December 27, they will take the stage in Beirut, Lebanon, for a spectacular performance. NEOLOGY fuses sound, story, and cinematic design, coming to life for the first time on stage and marking the launch of the project’s first chapter.

This new chapter will officially come to life on December 27, when Mathame present NEOLOGY Chapter I in Beirut — the first-ever live performance dedicated to the saga. The show will mark the global debut of NEOLOGY as an immersive visual experience, projecting the beginning of the storyline through Mathame’s signature audiovisual language.

As Mathame describe it: “NEOLOGY is the narrative universe behind our festival-scale NEO show — a world where the audience doesn’t just watch, but becomes part of the story. It explores humanity’s relationship with natural and artificial intelligence, touching on themes like quantum computing, bioethics, hacking, and the cultural value of sound, liberation, and rebellion. In this dystopian future, people are losing their ability to feel, overwhelmed by constant neural stimulation.

Anyone who enters NEO becomes a rebel in this new world. For us, NEO is a celebration of a possible ‘emo-technology’ — a space where human emotion and technological advancement collide. This idea is embodied in NEO, the meditating cyborg who stands as a guardian of humanity.”

With NEOLOGY, Mathame invite listeners deeper into their world, where electronic music becomes mythology and live performance becomes a gateway into a fully realized cinematic future.

Mathame, the Italian brothers Amedeo and Matteo Giovanelli, are pioneers of EmoTech – a movement where emotional storytelling meets futuristic sound and technology. Shaped by a background in classical music, hip-hop, and cinema, they create immersive productions that blend melodic techno with cinematic depth.

Their debut album MEMO introduced NEO, a monumental art project and narrative world representing a new ritual of sound and light. Its story unfolds through NEOLOGY, a parallel audiovisual show – a non-linear, anime-inspired film projected during their live performances. Together, NEO and NEOLOGY form a unified universe exploring the sacred, the futuristic, and the emotional.

With innovations like Old Neural Mixtape Vol.1 — an AI-powered project for Apple’s M1 chip that reimagined DJ mixing and evolved into a groundbreaking 3D live show — Mathame continue to blur the boundaries between music, technology, and immersive art. From their BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix of the Year to performances at Tomorrowland, Coachella, and Hï Ibiza, they stand as visionary storytellers.

BOOTSHAUS RANKED 4TH BEST CLUB IN THE WORLD

The German Club was awarded at the 10th Golden Moon Awards this year

Cologne powerhouse Bootshaus has been named the 4th Best Club in the World in The World’s 100 Best Clubs 2025 ranking, announced at the 10th Golden Moon Awards Gala in Valencia, Spain.

Curated by the International Nightlife Association, the annual list evaluates hundreds of venues across 73 countries through a combination of expert jury assessments and a global public vote. The result places the longtime electronic music institution alongside global heavyweights such as Hï, Ushuaïa Ibiza and Green Valley.

The achievement comes as Bootshaus continues a strong winter season. December opens with Above & Beyond on 5 December, followed by the return of elrow and its immersive, colourful production on 12 December. Kevin de Vries and Kölsch headline on 13 December, bringing a night of emotive house and tech-house, while Oliver Magenta & Friends take over on 14 December. The year concludes with Bootshaus pres. Avaion and the Loonyland Silvester 2025 celebrations.

Founded in 1991 as Warehouse and reopened under its current name in 2005, Bootshaus has become known for its forward-focused bookings across melodic house, techno, bass, dubstep and hardstyle. The club maintains a stripped-back ethos centred on music and atmosphere over luxury, with an emphasis on accessibility and community. Its in-house brands including Loonyland, Blacklist, Unreal and Nibirii have become integral to its identity.

Located in a repurposed shipyard warehouse, Bootshaus features three main rooms  - the Mainfloor, BLCKBX and Dreherei, and each is equipped with advanced audio-visual systems including Funktion-One and Seeburg Audio sound, complemented by high-impact lighting, lasers and effects.

FORUM DIGBETH UNVEILS THE ANNEXE IN A BOLD EXPANSION DOUBLING VENUE CAPACITY TO 4000

Expanding from 2,000 to 4,000, this milestone marks a bold new era for Birmingham’s leading venue

One of Birmingham’s leading live music and cultural destinations, Forum Digbeth, has announced a major expansion that will double its capacity from 2,000 to 4,000 with the addition of a brand-new adjoining warehouse space, The Annexe.

Run by the team behind Forum Birmingham, which closed permanently in April due to the closure of the Corporation Square building by its landlords, Forum Digbeth opened earlier this summer at the former Roller Jam site in Digbeth. Now, with the planned acquisition and redevelopment of an adjacent warehouse, the expansion marks a new era for large-scale live music, club events, and immersive experiences in the city.

The Annexe will officially open its doors on December 20 with Cru2, followed by DnB Allstars’ massive New Year’s Eve celebration, cementing the venue’s position as one of the UK’s most exciting multi-room event spaces. More shows are pencilled for 2026 with Live Nation, Louder and Bongo Bingo all on board.

“Forum Digbeth has that raw, industrial energy you just can’t fake, and The Annexe builds perfectly on that vibe. It’s the kind of space that artists and fans feed off - it’s built for proper live moments. Birmingham’s scene has been crying out for somewhere like this, and we’re hyped to help break it in.” - Louder

“The Annexe lets us deliver the scale, production and atmosphere that major artists and promoters are demanding from Birmingham. We’re doubling capacity because the city is ready for it; the audience is here, the ambition is here, and we’re committed to leading from the front.” - Billy Chauhan, Global Venues

"Forum Digbeth is a fantastic new venue that the Midlands massive go mad for each and every weekend. It's got world-class staff, sound and production which raises Bongo's Bingo to a whole new level, augmenting the experience for everyone in this boundary-pushing space for the city. The Christmas season is going to be wild and we're all hyped for 2026 at Forum Digbeth." - Bongo’s Bingo

This expansion shows their commitment to pushing Birmingham’s nightlife forward. Giving the city more capacity, stronger production and a space that opens the door to bigger, more ambitious shows for artists and promoters.
