Yacht Week is the world’s leading floating festival and a unique blend of world class music, seafaring adventure and global travel to stunning destinations in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. It is the ultimate stage for aspiring DJs to showcase their talent alongside legends of the scene and now the next generation gets their chance to shine with the launch of Yacht Week’s Annual DJ Competition.

This year’s competition seeks emerging talent from across the globe to feature in Yacht Week 2025 and perform at the world-famous floating festival. DJs will play to diverse audiences across iconic venues such as secluded beach bars, energetic club nights and Yacht Week’s legendary Circle Raft parties across destinations from the exotics to Croatia, Greece and Sicily. 

For ambitious DJs, Yacht Week offers more than just a set, it’s a career-defining opportunity to play to a global audience of adventurers, partygoers and music lovers. This isn’t just a gig - it’s a chance to cement a reputation alongside some of the industry’s biggest names. Past performers include Adam Beyer, Dom Dolla and Juliet Fox while previous emerging talents have gone from their Yacht Week performances to international acclaim, playing at top festivals like Tomorrowland, Coachella and Creamfields.

Now the festival is searching for talent with an emphasis on house and EDM to play on Yacht Week’s ‘Original’ weeks across Croatia, Greece, Sicily and the BVIs. Three winners will have the opportunity to play over two Yacht Weeks in an eclectic set of venues, from sunset parties at unforgettable beach bars and world-famous clubs to a floating booth in the centre of Yacht Week’s iconic Circle Raft parties.

Yacht Week is pulling out all the stops to give every entrant a global stage throughout the competition process which means shortlisted talent will feature on Yacht Week’s social feeds and Spotify playlists, semi-finalists will be featured on Instagram, regional finals broadcast Live and prominent DJs and past winners will promote the competition and mentor participants, with a public vote to pick the finalists.

The live finals will feature headliners from Yacht Week’s community past and present, with a fast and furious back-to-back mini-mix competition where a winner will be picked from each region.

The competition begins on the 10th December, with submissions open until 28th January so do not miss this epic opportunity and get recording your best set right away.

- Regional Finals: Starting March 6th  2025, in London, Los Angeles and Amsterdam.

Regional finalists will compete in back-to-back mini-mix battles judged by live audience response, with winners earning their spot at Yacht Week 2025.

STEP-BY-STEP:

Create a 5 minute open format mini mix to showcase your talent and style.” DJs must design a set with Yacht Week in mind. They’re invited to consider how to make an entry as interesting as possible: take decks to the beach. Create a party on a subway train. Host a house party and get your friends involved. Points awarded for creativity and production. 

“Record Your Video” DJs must upload a video under the following conditions:

- Length: 5 minutes.

- Orientation: Any aspect ratio welcomed!

- Framing: Ensure both DJ and decks are visible.

- Audio Quality: This is the selling point! Make sure all audio is clear so we can hear what you’ve got. 

“Submit Your Mix”: DJ’s must post to their own Instagram or TikTok tagging @theyachtweek and using #ywsoundwave. They are encouraged to share and encourage their own following to vote. Public engagement helps determine the semi-finalists.

Semi-Finalists will be selected by February 3, 2025 and featured for public voting on Yacht Week’s platforms.Video’s must be submitted to Yacht Week and availability for regional finals confirmed. 

Regional Finals:

- Finalists compete in mini-mix battles, judged by live audience cheers and featuring headliners from Yacht Week’s alumni. Availability to play in one of these regions in March 2025 to participate is required.

TAFARI WORLD is as much about the artistry behind it as it is about the clothes themselves. The brainchild of Tyler Beejan Adibi - artistically known as TAFARI - TAFARI WORLD is the physical manifestation of his own artistic evolution, commitment to craftsmanship and a relentless pursuit of individuality. The events producer, renowned for its fun-forward  thematic events with a heavy focus on practical effects and costume designs point to a ‘giant leap forward’ in 2025, with details to be announced on Wednesday 18th December. 

2025: A Space Rowdissey

A rocket ship sits in orbit around a strange planet, on the cusp of an interstellar journey. A modern take on  posters for classic films by sci-fi masters, most notably Robert McCall’s work for Kubrick’s 2001, this mysterious new creative points backwards to the analogue design and practical effects of the past, and forward into new realms of technological possibility. 

The poster campaign was featured simultaneously in major cities around the world. Spanning 4 continents: Europe, America, Africa and Asia, iconic locations include Tokyo’s Shibuya Tower, London’s Leicester Square, Miami’s Wynwood, and the New York City Subway
