RISING BASS SENSATION LAYZ ANNOUNCES ‘AFTERSHOCK’ NORTH AMERICAN HEADLINING TOUR

AMONG 21 CITIES ANNOUNCED

Rising bass music powerhouse LAYZ is set to electrify audiences across the United States with her highly anticipated ‘AFTERSHOCK’ tour. Named after her July-released ‘AFTERSHOCK’ EP, LAYZ is primed to deliver her signature brand of earth-shattering, new-age dubstep to several stages across the country in her biggest headlining tour yet. Kicking off this October in Austin, Texas, the 21-date tour will rumble through major metropolitan hubs including Chicago, Denver, Minneapolis, Seattle, and more, concluding in December with an epic performance at Kings Hall at Avant Gardner in Brooklyn. 

Joining her on select dates will be the bone-rattling sounds of Calcium, the genre-bending productions of Samplifire, the dynamic AlienPark, the bass prodigy DRINKURWATER, the hard-hitting Kliptic, the innovative RZRKT, and the rising star Vastive. This powerhouse lineup ensures that each night of the tour will be a non-stop barrage of high-energy bass music. The fall run marks LAYZ’s most extensive headline tour to date, solidifying her position as one of the most exciting acts in bass music.

LAYZ has quickly climbed the ranks in dance music, gaining attention for her high-energy performances and cutting-edge original productions. The Maryland-based DJ and producer has quickly become “one-to-watch” in the heavy bass space, sharing stages with industry titans including Excision, DJ Diesel (Shaq), Sullivan King, Wooli, and more. 2024 has been a whirlwind of high-profile performances, including a coveted spot at EDC Las Vegas and performances at Breakaway, Lost Lands, Bass Canyon, and Forbidden Kingdom. Adding to her impressive roster of achievements, LAYZ has been tapped to support bass music titan Excision on his massive 29-date tour.

The 'AFTERSHOCK' tour follows a series of career-defining moments for LAYZ. Her impressive festival resume includes performances at iconic events such as the iconic Tomorrowland, bass music mecca Rampage, and revered The Brooklyn Mirage.  Her versatility and crowd-commanding presence have also led to performances at Ilesoniq in Montreal, North Coast Music Festival, EDC Mexico, and supporting DJ Diesel on several tour dates.

Leyla Ali, known professionally as LAYZ, has stormed onto the bass scene and has quickly become a fan favorite. SOUND WAVES IN PORTUGAL WITH EPIC EDITION REVEALS AFTERMOVIE AND CONFIRMS WINTER EDITION IN LISBON FOR 8TH FEBRUARY 2025

AFTER THE RESOUNDING SUCCESS OF THE SUMMER EDITION WITH THOUSANDS OF RAVERS ON 6TH JULY,  THE SOUND WAVES FESTIVAL RELEASES THE AFTERMOVIE AND ANNOUNCES FOR 8TH FEBRUARY 2025  THE SECOND WINTER EDITION AT THE CARLOS LOPES PAVILION IN LISBON

With 19 years of history, Sound Waves which took place in Esmoriz, Portugal, on 6th July, closed with a bang, leaving festival-goers with an unforgettable experience, crowned with the release of the incredible Aftermovie directed by Ruben Alencastre, which is now available on the festival’s  YouTube channel.

With more than 20 non-stop hours, Sound Waves celebrated its 17th edition, the most epic ever, by showcasing its colossal line up, packed with an incredible wave of headliners. The DJ of the moment, I Hate Models transmitted all his energy from the beginning to the end of the gig to those present, who danced in harmony with the artist. Acclaimed star Sara Landry transformed the venue into a monumental arena with an intense, fast-paced set to the delight of her fans. The well-known hard techno ‘Papi’ Shlømo took the dance floor to the peak of the BPM's. Neapolitan diva Deborah de Luca took control of the booth with an eclectic show that awakened the spirit and nostalgia in the audience, as well as involving them with her latest works.

One of the surprises of the night was the Brazilian Joanna Coelho with her incredible explosive attitude on stage. DYEN ‘s Impulse was enormous and he continued to raise the tempo of the ravers, who were ready for their electrifying sounds. VENDEX climbed the wave with strong songs and infected festival-goers with his dark style. 6EJOU with his usual musical precision and mastery of the stage, rocked the dance warriors and strengthened his unique charisma in Esmoriz. Franck conquered everyone and everything with his techno groove. With a lot of verve and totally surrendered to the audience on site, Ornella opened the circuit to the proclaimed Portuguese queen of techno Miss Sheila. Special performances by Stëh b2b Madson Carpenter and  PK b2b LEMØS set the first rhythms of the day at the event.

Inside the Sound Waves Festival site, the entire space was renovated and more spacious, ready to welcome the thousands of soundwavers for another incomparable odyssey. The Igloo Tent stood out, covering the heart of the festival and was emphasized by the dazzling immersive visual effects, specially created by Nima Visuals Studio. 

Sound Waves 2024 has taken the giant step of positioning itself among the world's great festivals and embracing an entire raver community looking for an unrivaled experience, with more than 40 nationalities present on site: Spain, France, Switzerland, Germany, United Kingdom, Netherlands, United States, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, Ireland, Brazil, Morocco, Poland, Burma, Denmark, Austria, Canada, Hungary, Andorra, Bulgaria, Tunisia, Sweden, Mexico, Czechia, Uruguay, United Arab Emirates, Angola, Ivory Coast, Chile, Colombia, Finland, Greece, Romania, Mozambique, Slovakia, Ukraine and others.

2025 will be stratospheric for the Sound Waves brand, which will be celebrating its 20th anniversary, returning to Lisbon on 8th February with the second edition of the Winter Edition at the Carlos Lopes Pavilion and holding the Summer Edition in July next year. The two events will once again demonstrate the promoters' DNA and commitment to presenting the best and latest on the world Techno and Hard Techno scene in Portugal.

A STATE OF TRANCE ROARS BACK TO ROTTERDAM FOR 2025 FOLLOWING AN EPIC 2-DAY DEBUT

With a legacy of uniting trance lovers from around the world, this year’s event, now in partnership with Insomniac Europe, promises to elevate the experience to new heights.

Just now, on his globally syndicated A State of Trance radio show, Armin van Buuren announced that the legendary namesake festival will return to Rotterdam on Friday, February 21st and Saturday, February 22nd, 2025.

After expanding into a two-day event last year, A State of Trance is returning as a weekend festival in partnership with Insomniac Europe, featuring an electrifying lineup, multiple stages, and the fan-favorite A State of Trance Hotel. The highlight of the weekend is slated to be the totally unique 5-hour Friday show where Armin van Buuren will invite multiple artists on stage to play back-to-back with him. On Saturday, fans can expect over 25 DJ’s performing across five stages, truly showcasing the best the trance music scene has to offer.

After starting as a weekly radio show in 2001, A State of Trance quickly became a global phenomenon, reaching millions of listeners each week and growing into an incredibly dedicated and connected community. With the launch of the festival soon after, the event became a yearly pilgrimage for trance fans around the world to unite and enjoy the music together, also quickly gaining ground as one of the most influential and celebrated global events in trance and electronic dance music.

Now, working in partnership with Insomniac Europe — the European outpost of the global festival powerhouse Insomniac — A State of Trance is poised to reach new heights.

“A State of Trance is only getting bigger and bigger, so I’m excited to partner with Insomniac Europe as we continue to achieve greater heights,” Armin van Buuren revealed. “Last year we saw a huge expansion, not only moving to Rotterdam but also turning this festival into a two-day experience with our very own hotel, two shows, dozens of artists, speakers, events and all kinds of activities. This really feels like a new chapter for us and I am excited to see what we can achieve together.”
