“THIS IS ALL FOR YOU”

- Mikey Made, Off The Grid Campout-founder

Following its lengthy, public legal battle with John Summit, grassroots underground music festival Off The Grid Campout has just unveiled the full lineup for its eighth edition from Friday, October 10 - Monday, October 14 at Sirius Ranch in Apple Valley, California.

With over 150 acts on its lineup, The High Desert camping festival - which is known for curating a dynamic roster of forward-thinking, left-of-center selectors - will enter this fall with full control over its own destiny, further cementing itself as a nonstop musical marathon steeped in a community-oriented, intimate atmosphere

Boasting 76+ hours of uninterrupted sounds, Off The Grid Campout 2024 will feature an eclectic array of house and techno heavyweights, as well as artists from the live, bass, and DNB spaces. Headliners include electronic music icon and event impresario Gary Richards (aka Destructo) doing a special sunrise sermon set, genre-blending OWSLA-darling Mija, live-electronic duo PillowTalk, Chicago-house legend Gettoblaster, Pete Tong-certified house DJ and Doorly, DJ polymath and yoga teacher Gina Turner, and British deep house producer/DJ Jimpster

The festival will additionally welcome performances from Wolfy Lights w/ KJ Sawka, DJ Sneak, Kevin Knapp, Thee-O, Donald Glaude (DNB Set), Rabbit In The Moon, Dela Moon, Anton Tumas, Beacon Bloom, DJ Dan, DJ Reza, Friendly Fire, Left/Right, Max & Dana, Nightstalker (Techno Set), S-Doobie w/ MC Dino, SOOHAN, Tone Of Arc (Live).

The Off The Grid Campout lineup includes a huge assortment of other talented DJs who will all contribute to the festival’s continuous party atmosphere.

This year’s Off The Grid Campout will also feature a plethora of hosted stages and crew takeovers, solidifying the event as an inclusive congregation space for all underground music lovers.

Outside of the expertly-curated lineup, Off The Grid Campout will present a bevy of experiential offerings, including art cars, interactive installations, comedy sets, fire performances, a healing sanctuary, food and beverage vendors, a marketplace, themed camps, workshops, yoga, a Thursday pre-party, and more.

Off The Grid Campout 2024 will also host a pre-festival DJ competition, where the winner will get the opportunity to play this year’s festival and the just-announced, inaugural Off The Grid Campout event in Austin; headline the long-running SoCal house & techno party series Space Taco; be flown out to play the 2025 edition of Gary Richards’ premier nautical music event FriendShip; and sign with a management company. All you have to do to enter is upload a 60-minute mix titled “Road To OTG” onto SoundCloud or Mixcloud, and share it on your socials with a link to an originally produced track. The deadline for the competition is August 1, 2024.

Another unique inclusion at this year’s Off The Grid Campout will be the ‘young DJ’ stage. On Sunday, October 13, the festival will dedicate one of its stages to showcase starry-eyed, aspiring DJs - a unique wrinkle in the event’s programming that positions Off The Grid Campout as an authentic nurturer of dance music’s future generations.

What makes this upcoming edition of Off The Grid Campout particularly special is that it is the first installment following the festival’s lengthy legal spout with tech-house giant John Summit - a public battle that resulted in a massive victory for Off The Grid Campout and the event’s ability to retain its namesake.

Event producer/DJ Mikey Made created Off The Grid Campout in 2015, which began as a tiny desert party with less than 50 people. Following the event’s multi-year hiatus and eventual return in 2019, Off The Grid Campout has since evolved into a 1200-person, four-day festival, bumping 24/7 music across multiple stages and genres.

With its focus on grassroots community building and platforming artists on-the-rise, Off The Grid Campout has cultivated an inclusive, positive atmosphere that truly feels like a family-reunion for its repeat-attendees and performers.

When John Summit launched his Off The Grid label and event series in 2022, the sheer marketing power and name recognition of the global superstar threatened to completely overshadow and dilute everything Off The Grid Campout had built. In a dance music David vs. Goliath story, Mikey Made refused to back down and lose his brand: he entered a legal back-and-forth that saw the small, homegrown Mojave Desert music festival go up against one of the biggest names in electronic music and his team of bullies. Through his grit, perseverance, and conviction for the culture he had built, MIkey Made came away triumphant with full rights to the Off The Grid brand name - a rare example of a DIY music community member winning against the nefarious, incessant corporate music machine.

The victory speaks to the strength of not only Mikey Made, but of the entire Off The Grid Campout community who stood by his side. It was a win for them all - and it’ll be celebrated in earnest this fall at the upcoming edition of the festival.

The special installation of Off The Grid Campout 2024 will be preceded by the inaugural Off The Grid Campout Austin, which will take place on the water at River Forest Haven from Friday, September 27 - Sunday, September 29, 2024. More details to come soon.

MICHAEL BIBI’S “ONE LIFE” SHOW SHATTERS RECORDS

LONDON’S LARGEST ELECTRONIC EVENT IN CITY HISTORY

Last Saturday , internationally acclaimed DJ and producer Michael Bibi shattered records as he kicked off his celebratory “One Life” tour at Finsbury Park - Drawing over 45,000 attendees, cementhing this moment as the largest electronic music event in the city’s history

The event was a true testament to Bibi's indomitable spirit and remarkable journey, filled with poignant and unforgettable moments.

Bibi’s performance was a heartfelt narrative of his life and victorious fight against CNS Lymphoma. In addition to performances from Chloé Caillet, Dixon, Enzo Siragusa, and Salomé Le Chat, the stage saw a special B3B DJ set with Dennis Cruz and PAWSA - celebrating a decade of performing together - as well as  guest performances by Audio Bullys, and Kirstine Stubbe Teglbjærg – former member and the original singer of Blue Foundation’s “Eyes on Fire which Bibi notably remixed in 2020

However, it was the personal touches that truly captivated the audience on an intimate level. As the night unfolded, the giant screens displayed deeply moving video montages including scenes from Bibi’s childhood with his father - who also hopped on stage to perform an electrifying guitar solo - cherished moments with Dennis Cruz and PAWSA, and raw footage of his struggles in the hospital throughout his treatment.

The emotional depth of the event was palpable; Fans witnessed not only the triumph of a beloved artist (and their home team as England’s quarter-final win was also broadcast on the screen) but also the resilience of a man who has overcome immense challenges. A portion of the proceeds from the show supported various cancer charities including  Anthony Nolan, The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, which supports the work of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, where Bibi received his treatment.

Building on the momentum of this milestone moment, Bibi will continue celebrating life with his second tour stop in Seville, Spain on July 13, followed by performances at Ushuaïa Ibiza in September and Puglia Italy in October.

London-based techno and house maestro Michael Bibi, known for popular underground hits like “Different Side” and his 2018 ‘Got The Fire’ EP, which have amassed a total of over 25 million streams worldwide, has not only carved a niche for himself in the underground music scene but has also become a beacon of resilience and inspiration. Bibi's journey began with a profound passion for electronic music, manifesting at the tender age of 14 when he first laid hands on a pair of turntables. This ignited a lifelong obsession with crafting hypnotic rhythms and compelling beats that have since become his signature. As the visionary behind the revered Solid Grooves brand, his influence stretches far and wide, with his tracks encapsulating the very essence of techno and house music's soul-stirring capacity. This sound and aura came to life with his ongoing iconic Solid Grooves Residency at DC-10 Ibiza.

In June 2023, Bibi's musical journey took a poignant turn when he bravely announced his battle with CNS Lymphoma, stepping away from music to focus on his health. Following a resilient fight, he triumphantly declared his remission in December 2023, setting the stage for an inspiring comeback. 2024 marks THE YEAR of Michael Bibi, highlighted by his impactful comeback at Coachella,  where he delivered an awe-inspiring 3+ hour set on the new Quasar Stage. Now, Bibi prepares to return to the global stage with the “One Life” World Tour, marking a pivotal moment in his career and a celebration of life after his victorious battle against cancer. Announced dates include a historic homecoming at Finsbury Park in London, setting a record as the largest electronic show in London with a 45,000 person capacity. Additional stops include the vibrant city of Seville, Spain in July, Ushaïa Ibiza in September, and Puglia, Italy in October, with more dates to be announced.

As Bibi steps back into the limelight, his return is not just a testament to his enduring spirit but also builds great excitement and anticipation for what 2024 has in store for him, signaling a new chapter of resilience, renewal, and boundless musical innovation.
