INSOMNIAC ANNOUNCES EXPANSION OF BEYOND WONDERLAND TO CHICAGO IN 2024

Insomniac has partnered with Chicago-based promoter Auris Presents to debut Beyond Wonderland at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island on June 1-2, 2024

Today, Insomniac, a globally recognized leader in live events, has announced its partnership with Chicago-based Auris Presents to introduce the enchanting and awe-inspiring experience of Beyond Wonderland to Chicago for the very first time. Set to take place at the Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island on Sat., June 1, 2024 and Sunday, June 2, 2024, this two-day electronic music festival will transport attendees on a captivating journey down the rabbit hole, immersing tens of thousands of music enthusiasts in real-life themes inspired by Lewis Carroll’s mesmerizing world of “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.” The “Mad Presale” promotion begins today at 12 p.m. PT. Nestled on the shores of Lake Michigan, providing breathtaking views of the lake and the Chicago Skyline, Northerly Island will become an interactive realm of wonder, ablaze with kaleidoscopic hues, exclusive culinary delights, captivating art installations, and entrancing electronic music performances. Amidst this enchantment, four elaborately crafted stages, known as Queen’s Domain, Mad Hatter’s Castle, Caterpillar’s Garden, and Cheshire Woods, will whirl amidst the madness of Alice’s Tea Party. Led by The Mad Hatter, the Queen, and an ensemble of curious creatures and characters, the musical odyssey spanning from house and techno to trance and bass will ensure an unparalleled auditory experience. 

 

Since 2010, Beyond Wonderland has captured the hearts of Southern California with nearly 80,000 attendees annually. Its enchanting narrative, filled with intriguing twists and turns, has also traveled to Northern California, the Pacific Northwest, and Mexico. Now, Beyond Wonderland Chicago emerges as the inaugural Midwest chapter, promising to solidify its Chicago presence as the region’s premier music festival experience.

Back in 2013, Insomniac welcomed 65,000 attendees to the Chicagoland Speedway for Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Chicago. Its 3-day edition in Joliet, IL poured $26.1 million back into the local Chicago area economy. EDC is now recognized as the world’s largest dance music festival.

RESISTANCE Miami, which launched two successful runs over Miami Music Week and Race Week, has already showcased some of the world’s most in-demand house and techno maestros including Carl CoxAdam BeyerCharlotte de Witte, Enrico Sangiuliano, Green VelvetClaude VonStroke, Indira Paganatto, and Anfisa Letyago headlining a plethora of sold-out shows at the 35,000 square ft. venue.

Over the past two weekends, RESISTANCE Miami has been rolling out their Fall Residency with performances from AdriatiqueKölschIlario Alicante, and more. 

This winter, the massive Miami Beach venue will usher in performances from a new bevy of underground heroes.

 

On Thursday, December 7, RESISTANCE Miami will kick off its MiamiArt Week slate with performances from minimal techno pioneer Richie Hawtin , widely sought-after underground virtuoso DJ/producer Sama’ Abdulhadi, DJ/vocalist AADJA, and South Florida-native MACHÌNA (Live). 


On Friday, December 8, RESISTANCE Miami will host deadmau5’ techno alias TESTPILOT, seasoned techno tastemaker Layton Giordani, and acclaimed Venezuelan act Fur Coat.

On Saturday, December 9, GRAMMY-nominated British duo CamelPhat will headline, with support from German DJ/producer HOSH and renowned Belgium beatmaker Maxim Lany

RESISTANCE Miami's winter lineups then continue on Saturday, December 16 with New York City house music legend Danny Tenaglia and fast-rising selector Magit Cacoon.

On Saturday, December 30 RESISTANCE Miami will celebrate New Year's Weekend by reuniting with Dutch legend Joris Voorn, following the DJ/producer’s Miami Music Week performance earlier this year. Swiss musician and DJ Jimi Jules is also slated for support for the evening. 


On Saturday, January 6, British underground legends SASHA _ JOHN DIGWEED will play an extended set to wrap up RESISTANCE Miami's slate of winter shows. SASHA _ JOHN DIGWEED also headlined a sold-out night during RESISTANCE Miami’s Miami Music Week program.

Before the winter run kicks off, RESISTANCE Miami's Fall residency will continue throughout November with headlining performances from Oliver Heldens’ underground alias HI-LOPan-Pot b2b Dubfire (U.S. b2b debut - 4 hour extended set), and Mind Against.

SOUND LOS ANGELES ANNOUNCES THREE NIGHT NEW YEAR'S EVE RUN

Kyle Watson, Miss Monique, Chris Lorenzo to play

Los Angeles leading nightclub, Sound, rounds out another unprecedented year with its always much anticipated run of events at Sound in Los Angeles. The three night series starts on December 29 with Kyle Watson then features Miss Monique and finally Chris Lorenzo on New Year's Eve with tickets available for each individual event from $40 or a three show bundle for $125 from LINK.

 Sound is right in the heart of Hollywood and is celebrated for its custom-made sound system, part of a new product line from Funktion One. It is armed with a 3D mapping system which controls both the mood and atmosphere of the venue to provide a unique audio visual experience each and every night. The venue turns 11 in 2024 and this series kick starts its sure to be special celebration. 

 

First up on December 29 is South African pioneer and Dirtybird, Atlantic and Ultra associate Kyle Watson making a welcome return to Sound. He blends his own distinctive take on Afro house with tech, deep and techno influxes to make for a scintillating underground soundtrack. He stated "There's always such great energy in the room and I can't wait to come back for my last club play of the year!" 

 

The night after, in partnership with leading US promotional group Framework, is Ukrainian prog house innovator Miss Monique, who is also a proven market favourite. Her Siona Records label is one of the top selling on Beatport and right at the forefront of the melodic house and techno scene while she has headlines every major club and festival on the planet. 

Last but not least is Chris Lorenzo, the UK trailblazer with an edgy house and tech sound. He has played on the main stages of the world’s finest festivals, released several Beatport No.1s and is a true tech-house tastemaker.
