Following the successful launch of its 3-day Easter edition and a series of summer pop-ups, The BPM Festival has announced its third edition at its base of Tamarindo, Costa Rica on January 24th-28th, 2024. Over the course of 5 days, guests will be treated to an extraordinary and immersive experience set against the breathtaking backdrop of Tamarindo's sandy beaches, tropical forests, and vibrant local culture. Phase one of the festival’s diverse lineup kicks off with over 60 names, including Bedouin, Carlo Lio, DJ Holographic, Eagles & Butterflies, Eli & Fur, Franky Rizardo, GORDO, Hernán Cattaneo, HUGEL, Øostil, Paco Osuna, Sainte Vie, and Sidney Charles amongst many other leading artists in house and techno.

The BPM Festival: Costa Rica is preparing to host its BPM Familia in 2024 with the announcement of a stacked phase one lineup and confirmed coveted label showcases. Making their BPM Costa Rica debut will be British Innervisions mainstay Eagles & Butterflies, chart-topping melodic house duo Eli & Fur, Dutch house maestro Franky Rizardo, Mexican melodic house producer Øostil, Akumandra founder Sainte Vie, and German groove master Sidney Charles to name a few. Following his highly-anticipated and successful BPM debut at their inaugural Miami edition last year, Nicaraguan-American producer GORDO will be taking over the decks in the Costa Rican jungle for the very first time. Guests can also look forward to enjoying sets from some of their favorite BPM staples, including the likes of  AJ Christou, Bedouin, Carlo Lio, DJ Holographic, HUGEL, Jean Pierre, Jesse Calosso, Mason Collective, Nathan Barato, Neverdogs, Paco Osuna, Rafa Barrios, Stacey Pullen, and more. On the showcase front, Addy’s 4 X 2, Neverdogs’ Bamboleo, Jesse Calosso’s Boogeyman, and Carlo Lio and Nathan Barato’s Rawthentic will return to BPM’s beach and jungle stages. With each edition raising the bar higher, The BPM Festival: Costa Rica 2024 will welcome old and new faces from across the globe, showcasing an exceptional lineup and expanding its hypnotic stages. Set amidst the luscious Costa Rican jungle, festival goers can explore three mesmerizing jungle stages, as well as a brand-new, never-before-used sunset beachside venue. Each stage will provide a unique atmosphere, amplifying the energy and vibes throughout the 5-day celebration. The brainchild of industry stalwarts Leticia van Riel and co-creator Jessica Tribst, the LvR Mentoring Program For Artists has escalated the careers of many electronic artists since its inauguration in 2021, serving as an indispensable source of industry knowledge to help the next generation of DJs and producers take their careers to greater heights. Ahead of LvR’s next mentoring course in October, the initiative now announces news of a free, three-day online event - Inside The Electronic Music Industry.

 

Set across three days from October 3-5, the Inside The Electronic Music Industry event will unveil the three key pillars to building a successful career in music’s competitive and often over-saturated space. The pillars will be approached in three different classes across the three-day event, giving participants exclusive insight into the content covered during LvR’s extensive mentoring program.

 

Day 1: Social Media – Increasing your visibility in the market.

Day 2: Networking – The secrets of approaching industry contacts.

Day 3: Creating Opportunities - how to boost your artist career.

 

Following the online event, LvR will then cherry-pick forty of the most promising talents from their application process to join the official mentoring programme, which begins at the end of October.

Since launching in 2021, the LvR Mentoring Program For Artists has welcomed hundreds of DJs and producers through its doors, providing them with the necessary tools to navigate the business side of the industry successfully. With many up-and-coming artists focused on the musical aspect of their careers, Leticia and Jessica bring to light the important the industry’s many other facets in order to build with longevity in mind. During the course of the official programme, talented DJs and producers will learn the necessary skills to have their tracks signed to their dream labels, get more gigs, master branding and social media, learn how to approach people in the industry, sign deals with booking agencies, collaborate with other artists and receive guidance from some of the most influential guest tutors from every corner of the dance music industry.

 

Former mentees have since gone on to charter releases through leading imprints Drumcode, Terminal M, Volta Records, We Are The Brave, KD WAW, Café de Anatolia and Hypno State (to name a few), as well as receiving heavy track support from the likes of Richie Hawtin, ANNA, Carl Cox, Enrico Sangiuliano, Reinier Zonneveld, Indira Paganotto, Victor Ruiz and Wehbba. Combining Leticia’s lengthy career as an artist manager and booking agent, alongside Jess’ hindsight experiences as a former DJ, LvR’s one-of-a-kind mentorship program covers all of the intricate, business skills required to build a profitable and long-lasting career. Offering bespoke advice that’s tailored to each and every one of their mentees, the three-month course puts artists on the path to success whilst welcoming them into a community of supportive, like-minded people.

 

With its beginnings firmly rooted in the management space, LvR’s founding dignitary Leticia is responsible for the phenomenal success of its A-list artists ANNA, Sama’ Abdulhadi and Victor Ruiz. Launching her ever-popular mentoring course in 2021 alongside co-creator Jessica, the pair embarked upon a mission to make vital industry knowledge more accessible to emerging artists. Across their combined 33 years of experience, Leticia and Jessica offer a brand new, 360 approach to career development that pulls focus to social media and networking in order to successfully navigate the complex business side of the electronic music industry. One of the most-forward thinking initiatives on the circuit, the LvR Mentoring Program for Artists makes it possible for up-and-coming artists to develop a strong network of connections and collaborators within the community, gain valuable insight from industry experts and subsequently unlock the potential for growth and advancement.

Meet The Team

Leticia van Riel is the owner of LvR Management where she currently manages the careers of headline artists ANNA, Sama’ Abdulhadi and Victor Ruiz. Originally from Brazil, she’s been working in the electronic music industry for the past 17 years and now stands as one of the most respected figures in the game. After earning a Masters in Events Marketing, she began her career at MN2S Agency in London, then moved on to IMD Agency where she started working with ANNA, discovered her passion for techno, and became her manager. She then moved to Safehouse Management as an agent for Mark Knight and UMEK before relocating to Spain to work for B4 Bookings where she was the agent for Hector, Mark Houle, Pig&Dan to name a few. In 2018, Leticia decided to focus solely on management and founded LvR Management.

After developing two successful Masterclasses, The Anaweh Studio Masterclass and Victor Ruiz’s Victor Ruiz Masterclass, teaching producers how to perfect their craft, Leticia created the LvR Mentoring Program for Artists. Drawing from her industry knowledge and experience, she mentors up-and-coming DJs on how to advance their careers, get their tracks signed, increase visibility, and create gig opportunities.


Jessica Tribst
 has been working in the music industry for the past 16 years. Originally from Brazil, she discovered her passion for raving at a young age, leading her to earn a degree in Events Management and a post-graduation in Marketing. Her journey in the electronic music business has included roles such as assistant, logistics, tour manager, event producer, and project manager, working for brands such as Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, ULTRA Music Festival, and SoundCloud. She has also worked alongside artists Eminem, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, and Oliver Heldens. 

 

In 2011, she started a successful 8-year stint as a DJ and producer, playing the main clubs in Brazil alongside artists Solomun and The Martinez Brothers and touring internationally. In 2019, Jessica quit her career as an artist, moved to Barcelona, and joined LvR Management, where she became Victor Ruiz’s manager; co-producing the Victor Ruiz Masterclass initiative as well as The Anaweh Studio Masterclass. In 2021, inspired by her 8-year career as an artist, she co-created the LvR Mentoring Program for Artists where she shares the knowledge that she has acquired as a DJ and producer. With the advantage of hindsight, Jessica’s passion is to share with up-and-coming artists all of the things she has learned and what she would do differently if starting her career today, helping them to build a successful artist career.
