The eighth edition of the stunning Sandbox Festival once again returns to the blissful El Gouna resort on the Red Sea Riviera in Egypt after a brief 3 year hiatus.
The names for May 2022 features another tasteful mix across a wide spectrum such as Acid Pauli, Avalon Emerson, Colyn, Damien Lazarus, Frank Moody, Gene On Earth, Jimi Jules B2B Trikk, Kamaal Williams, Leo Pol, Mind Against and many more to come.

Sandbox Festival is a place to watch a scorching red sun sink into the sea, with sand under your feet and warm waves breaking on your toes, to sunbathe or relax under straw parasols and soak up the culturally diverse atmosphere of the region, all a long way from built up cities. It is also a place to enjoy all manner of summer sports from kiting, diving to snorkeling, and party to classy sounds from more than 50 of house and techno’s best DJs and live acts. This all comes with a real focus on love, community and friendships between all who attend, where palm trees and local architecture make for a real paradise throughout your sure to be magical stay.

The aim of Sandbox is to champion local and upcoming talent and mix it with the best of the best, all while helping you make new friends and new musical discoveries. To give you more chance to enjoy the sun, this year’s event is in May, and is a last chance getaway before the North Coast season starts in Egypt.


At Sandbox, DJs are encouraged to interact and experience all the festival have to offer, with many mingling with the crowd and soaking up the atmosphere and beautiful location before taking to the decks where they are allowed to push themselves and offer up something different than the norm. It’s not a place to lose your mind, but to find yourself and to make new friends and form new relationships.

PYRAMID REVEALS ADVENTUROUS SEASON OF HEADLINERS WITH WEEK BY WEEK LINEUPS

Pyramid's return to Amnesia is just around the corner and today the season long-line-ups for this boldly curated party have been revealed. The epic opening party on June 12th with Ricardo Villalobos, Four Tet, Adam Beyer, KiNK, Lilly Palmer and Cuartero kicks the season off and after that, every party will run for 12 unmissable hours with a long list of international headliners from the worlds of house, techno and everything in between. It will be the most authentic and underground experience on the island, and this year if you buy an Early Access ticket with entry before 9 pm, you'll be free to leave and return later that evening

The long run time of each Pyramid party offers the chance to experience different moods and grooves in the world famous club. As the sun fades and night falls you can be sure the party vibes will ramp up at the hands of the cutting edge guests and regular appearances from residents Marco Faraone and Ricardo Villalobos. Add in the brand new 3rd Dimension, which is all about mixing up local Ibiza talents and global names while enjoying some of the mouthwatering offerings from the food trucks, and Sundays will be the most essential night of the week throughout summer 2022. 

Helping to make it so is a forward thinking mix of pioneers, contemporary tastemakers and new school stars such as party starters like Denis Sulta, Skream, Mella Dee, The Blessed Madonna, Hunee, Cuartero, a live show from Bicep, Krystal Klear and Sidney Charles, while both European and Detroit techno are well represented by mainstays such as Sven Väth playing an extended set, DJ Stingray 313, Fjaak DJ, Héctor Oaks, Helena Hauff, Lilly Palmer, Roman Flügel, Marcel Dettmann b2b Ben Klock and many more. XP Music Conference kickstarts Riyadh’s LOUDEST WEEK from 28-30 November to drive cultural and economic change in the Middle Eastern music industry

Flagship music festival SOUNDSTORM will welcome local talent and global superstars from 1-3 December

The Saudi music and culture scene will take another quantum leap forward in 2022 with the confirmation that MDLBEAST’s XP Music Conference (28-30 Nov) and stellar festival, SOUNDSTORM (1-3 Dec), will return in December to once again deliver the LOUDEST WEEK in Riyadh.

Everyone from music industry professionals, creatives seeking inspiration and professionalization, to music-tech start-ups and government entities will come together for workshops, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and nightlife activations to build on the successes of the inaugural year of XP in 2021. Once again, the conference will be the warmup for the biggest music festival ever seen in the Middle East, SOUNDSTORM, delivering three days for festival goers to immerse themselves in the beats of global, regional, and local superstars.

The LOUDEST WEEK in Riyadh embodies MDLBEAST’s commitment to growing talent, building the regional scene, and advancing the creative economy for Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East.

Turning up the volume on the LOUDEST WEEK and following XP, SOUNDSTORM has redefined regional entertainment with record-breaking 2019 and 2021 editions which have not only entertained local fans with global stars but also provided a platform for local talent to feel the rush of performing on the biggest stages.

The most recent edition of SOUNDSTORM saw performances from international DJs and global stars including David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Afrojack, Jason Derulo, and Future. 730K attendees that enjoyed music from 184 different artists performed on 8 stages.

MDLBEAST’s XP Music Conference was held for the first time in 2021 with 150 local/regional/international industry experts discussing Talent, Scene, Policy, and Impact with regional audiences, supporting the growth of the music community. Global artists such as Afrojack and Steve Aoki led the discussion around the path to success, guiding principles for young talent, and what it means to support aspiring DJs, producers, and creators. XP welcomed almost five thousand attendees on three days and hosted up to 52 sessions in its inaugural year.
