The Cityfox Experience has announced the first names for their third edition of Cityfox LIVE, North America’s premier dance music event championing the art of LIVE performance. On Saturday, March 5th, 2022, Cityfox LIVE will take over Avant Gardner, East Williamsburg’s massive event complex, for a night of captivating live electronic music showcased across three stages: The Great Hall, King’s Hall plus a newly revealed stage, The Tent. Honoring the craftsmanship and talent behind the live act, Cityfox LIVE will feature an array of top-tier performances from some electronic music’s most coveted acts, including Eelke Kleijn, Hannes Bieger, Innellea, KiNK, Monolink, Paraleven, Recondite, and WhoMadeWho, with more names to be revealed in phase two. Following their flagship, 27-hour long New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day marathon event, The Cityfox Odyssey, The Cityfox Experience are ready to continue their reign as NYC’s leading underground dance music curators with Cityfox LIVE. Taking the Avant Gardner stage for the very first time will be DAYS like NIGHTS founder Eelke Kleijn, Bedrock Records mainstay and renowned mixing engineer Hannes Bieger, and Paraleven, who’s on the heels of releasing his debut album on RÜFÜS DU SOL’s imprint, Rose Avenue Records. The third edition of the unique event concept also boasts several established acts who are known for their captivating live sets, including Afterlife favorites Innellea and Recondite, German guitar-wielding live act Monolink, Bulgarian gear and production maestro KiNK, and Danish experimental trio WhoMadeWho, who have risen through the ranks with their eclectic and energy-drenched performances, and more to be announced.

ABOUT AVANT GARDNER -- A one-of-a-kind gem, the 80,000 square foot venue is home to The Brooklyn Mirage, The Great Hall, The King's Hall, and The Lost Circus. With a string of highly-anticipated standalone shows, including Bonobo, Nina Kraviz, Amelie Lens, and Moderat, as well as a number of confirmed takeovers, such as Carl Cox: Invites/Presents, Enzo Siragusa Presents: Fuse, elrow, and Anjunadeep, Avant Gardner / The Brooklyn Mirage are slated to have one of their biggest and best years yet.

There is truly no band like MEUTE. The unique 11-piece group from Hamburg have become iconic in their red jackets as they break all the rules with their fusion of brass band sounds and techno, all made using only acoustic instruments. They have crafted viral hits, sold-out clubs, had props from Dixon, Laurent Garnier and BBC Radio 1 amongst many more, and generate real excitement every time they play.  

Right now, MEUTE are building plenty of excitement ahead of a long-awaited new album, TAUMEL, that arrives on the band's own label TUMULT later this year.

FORM MUSIC CELEBRATES 100 RELEASES AS POPOF CURATES SERENITY REMIXES EP

Remixes from Booka Shade, NTO, Vitalic, ATOEM, OXIA and Pig&Dan

French techno titan POPOF celebrates the milestone one-hundredth release of his beloved FORM Music imprint in January 2022, as he enlists a selection of his all-time favourite producers to provide their own inimitable interpretations of his iconic 2009 hit record, Serenity.

Almost exactly thirteen years to the day since the minimal juggernaut first did its damage across international airwaves and packed warehouses, the Parisian producer and FORM Music label boss now looks to breathe fresh life into one of the most iconic records in his expansive career discography, as he announces a remix project of truly epic proportions.

Delivering the 100th release on FORM and the label’s first full-length EP of 2022, the exquisite six-part package sees POPOF flex his A&R muscles to the extreme as he taps Booka Shade, NTO, Vitalic, ATOEM, OXIA and Pig&Dan for one of the biggest releases on FORM to date.

 Kick-starting the remix EP with their unmistakable rendition, legendary German house duo Booka Shade make their intentions known from the off with an expertly layered melodic journey, combining mind-bending synths, intricate percussion, and the trademark Booka Shade hi-hat shuffles, that we all know and love.

Up next, French melodic techno maestro NTO switches things up with the introduction of swung rhythmic triplets, warm, muted bass and playful sirens before handing the reigns to electro pioneer Vitalic who delivers thumping kicks, distorted basslines and cascading leads, on what is arguably the most hard-hitting interpretation on the entire package.

The second half of the EP sees slick French duo ATOEM make their eagerly anticipated debut on the Parisian label with a chugging electro edit, before long-time friend and label favourite OXIA restores a sense of groove with a deep, ethereal offering that ebbs and flows beautifully across its mesmerising six-minute duration.

Last, but by no means least, POPOF calls upon legendary British stalwarts Pig&Dan to round out proceedings with another huge label debut. Bringing the package to an emphatic climax, Pig&Dan’s abstract techno offering pairs undulating basslines with ravey breakbeats and otherworldly soundscapes, as the celebrated debutants close out a truly outstanding 100th release on FORM Music.
