It's been a topsy turvy year but Amnesia Ibiza is giving us all two big reasons to be excited with historic back-to-back opening and closing parties on October 22nd and October 23rd. The opening parties runs from 6pm until 5am with returning favourites and hot new names including Answer Code Request, Ben Klock, DJ Boring, Dennis Cruz, Enzo Siragusa, Marcel Dettmann, Jamie Roy, Hector Couto, Marco Faraone, Skream, Tijana T and many more playing across four different rooms. The closing party runs from 4pm until 5am with Alfredo, Jeremey Healy, Jayda G, Young Marco, Jamie Jones, The Blessed Madonna, Richy Ahmed, Cuartero, Mar T & Caal, Sidney Charles and Seb Zito, Luca Donzelli and more. Only Friday tickets remain but will sell out soon, so head to https://www.amnesia.es to get yours.

This has been a summer unlike any other, with none of the usual landmark events at Amnesia Ibiza. But the iconic brand has worked hard to bring their famous experience to clubbers around the world with a special week long take over festival in Croatia, a very special Sunset Session party at a spectacular 17th-century Fortress on the Isle of Pag and even a virtual rave in the Amnesia virtual venue in collaboration with Decentral Games, the world’s first immersive 3D metaverse experience.

Now, these two special parties offer the exclusive chance to dance on the White Isle this year. Although Saturday is sold out, the club will be doing something special for residents who head down early. Both nights will be the mother of all parties with all of the stops pulled out, the production beefed up, the immersive light and visuals all ready to take you into another dimension.

Friday will offer some of the world's most revered house and techno talents with the likes of heavyweights Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Marco Faraone and Answer Code Request, UK party starter Skream, Fuse boss Enzo Siragusa, Spanish favourites Dennis Cruz and Hector Couto and breakout 2021 star Jamie Roy as well as house innovator DJ Boring.

As for Saturday, from early on, the Terrazza is all about the Amnesia classics, while the 3rd Dimension offers a new and considered sound from red hot acts Jayda G and Young Marco who dig deep and join the dots between multiple genres with real flair. Later on the Terrazza comes Jamie Jones who of course hosts his hugely popular Paradise party at the club. He is joined by the sensational The Blessed Madonna, who will become a much more regal fixture at Amnesia in 2022 so keep your eyes peeled. Amnesia regulars Richy Ahmed, Cuartero, Mar-T and Caal, Sidney Charles and Seb Zito and Luca Donzelli also bring the goodness, while the Club is all about big room techno with Adam Beyer, Marco Faraone, Deborah de Luca and more.

You can expect a whole season's worth of pent up partying to be released at these two epic parties. Make sure you're part of history.

VIBERATE HAS COMPILED THE DATA AND THE VERDICT IS MARSHMELLO MORE POPULAR THAN DAVID GUETTA

Marshmello, David Guetta, Alan Walker, Calvin Harris, and The Chainsmokers are the top 5 most popular Electronic artists, according to Viberate

DJ Mag has just announced the winners of their annual Top 100 DJ poll, with David Guetta once again taking the crown for the world's no. 1 DJ. Independently of the vote, the music research and analytics platform Viberate looked into the online popularity data of Electronic artists to see if and how the results match up.

Why data? In a way, it’s the “objective popular vote”. Fans across the globe reward their favourite artists on a daily basis by streaming their music, viewing their videos, liking their social media posts, and buying their tracks – besides casting their votes in online polls.

Viberate's advanced algorithms take into account each artist's social media and music channels, as well as radio airplay throughout the year. This makes for an unbiased and transparent overview of how popular an artist really is.

Top findings include:
MarshmelloDavid GuettaAlan WalkerCalvin Harris, and The Chainsmokers are the top 5 most popular Electronic artists of the last 12 months. The Top 10 list is rounded off by Martin GarrixTiëstoSkrillexDJ Snake, and Alok. Interestingly enough, the usual “crowd favourites”, such as Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Afrojack, and Armin van Buuren, did not make the Top 10 list.

Dance is the most popular genre. 72% of the top 100 artists are Dance (EDM) artists, 10% are House artists, and other genres are less represented.

Several artists have made a big leap in 2021 and entered the Top 100 chart. These include Imanbek (49th), Nightcrawlers and Riton (43rd and 47th, respectively), A7S (35th) and Topic (32nd).

Collabs are the way to go. Thanks to the success of tracks such as “Friday” (Nightcrawlers & Riton), “Your Love” (A7S & Topic) and “Breaking Me” (A7S & Topic), the aforementioned artists have jumped as many as 800 places up the Electronic Artists chart.

Memes work, too. South African artist The Kiffness placed 96th thanks to his musical renditions of “vibing cat”, “alugalug cat” and sea shanty memes, delighting audiences during the Covid-19 lockdown. The “Alugalug Cat” track alone was streamed more than 60K times on Spotify last week.

Here’s the complete list of Top 100 Electronic artists according to Viberate:
