300, Pt. 1 – the first of three VA compilations marking the label’s milestone – is out now

Twenty-one years. 300 releases. A catalogue built without ever standing still.

Kittball Records reaches its milestone 300th release with 300, Pt. 1, a various-artists compilation celebrating more than two decades of house music, collaboration and an enduring commitment to the next record.

Bringing together a diverse selection of artists from across the label’s international family for the first of three milestone compilations, Tube & Berger join forces with Frank Sonic and Freddy Muller, while Noah Loco and Mat.Joe, Denace 2 Society, Jochem Hamerling, Roxy Nox, Purple Palms and Raffi Habel, and GIORG each add their own voice to the collection. Together, the names reflect Kittball’s long-standing commitment to established favourites, emerging talent and artists pushing the label’s sound forward.

At the heart of the 300th release is Back to the Stars, a new track from Kittball founders Tube & Berger alongside Frank Sonic and Freddy Muller. More than simply part of the compilation, the dreamy track serves as a musical reflection of the journey behind Kittball’s 300 releases – and the shared belief that authentic music has kept the label moving forward for more than two decades.

Speaking about the milestone, Arndt from Tube & Berger / Kittball mentioned:

“300 releases sounds like a big number, but for us it’s really just a lot of music, a lot of great people and more than 20 years of somehow keeping this thing alive. We’ve had amazing years, difficult ones, made good decisions and definitely a few questionable ones. But we’re still here, still releasing music we believe in. And that probably means more to me than the number 300 itself.”

Founded in Solingen in 2005 by Tube & Berger and Juliet Sikora, when Kittball entered the German house scene, there was no shortage of electronic music labels. Its approach was simple: stay uncompromising, and keep putting quality records into the world. Twenty-one years later, that philosophy remains largely unchanged.

Over the years, Kittball has weathered its share of highs and lows, evolutions and detours, building a catalogue that reflects the artists, sounds and moments that have shaped the label along the way.

Among them is Purple Disco Machine, who released Purple Pianos on Kittball in 2015, years before his sound reached the global charts. Robert Owens brought his unmistakable voice to Slipknot, while artists including Timo Maas, andhim, Ida Engberg, Format:B, Junior Jack and Volkoder have all contributed to the label's story through singles and compilations.

Kittball's history has also been captured through projects such as the Kittball Konspiracy compilations and the charity series It Began In Africa, bringing together different generations and corners of the electronic music community.

Some of those records still belong on a dancefloor at 3am. Others are unmistakably products of their time. For Kittball, both matter. A catalogue should document where a label has been – without pretending it always knew where it was going.

Because despite the milestone, Kittball isn't looking backwards for long. The team behind Kittball are keeping their pedal to the metal keeping the records coming.

TAPE B ANNOUNCES DEBUT ALBUM ‘GHOST IN THE STATIC’ AHEAD OF NEW SINGLE WITH EFFIN “I’LL NEVER KNOW”

TWO OF BASS MUSIC’S MOST DISTINCTIVE MODERN VOICES JOIN TOGETHER FOR A MAJOR NEW SINGLE JUST AHEAD OF DEBUT ALBUM MOMENT

The next generation of electronic music continues to dominate the 2026 release landscape, further highlighted by leading talent Tape B and Effin joining forces for their new collaboration, “I’ll Never Know”. The single reunites two of bass music’s most distinct creative perspectives on a track that reflects the artists’ shared love for hip-hop, nostalgia, and forward-thinking electronic production.

The single lands right at the heels of the official announcement of Tape B’s debut album ‘Ghost in the Static’, slated for release on October 2nd, featuring Zaytoven, Effin, Dani King, and more to be announced.

For Tape B, the collaboration arrives during a landmark stretch in his rapidly accelerating career. Known for fusing the sounds and spirit of classic dubstep with hip-hop influence, Tape B has built a devoted following through original music, sonic experimentation, and high-impact live performances. His catalog continues to impress across multiple genres with official collaborations with artists like Juicy J on “Trippy Land” (2024) and more recently “Signature Sound” (Aug 2026) with Atlanta hip-hop legend Zaytoven, further establishing his ability to bridge the worlds of hip-hop and bass music. “I’ll Never Know” follows his recent Car Tunes Vol: 5 and ethereal single “Underneath Your Skin” with Dani King via Monstercat, further underscoring his multi-layered approach to production.

Effin brings a similarly expansive approach to the collaboration. The Nashville-based artist, producer, and songwriter has spent the past several years developing a signature creative world built around detailed sampling, emotional songwriting, vintage aesthetics, and unconventional production techniques. His recent music has pushed that approach even further, exploring love, memory, and nostalgia through everything from decades-old recordings and forgotten live performances to film dialogue, jazz instrumentation, and heavily manipulated vocals.

The result is a collaboration between two artists who approach bass music from different angles but share a fundamental belief: the genre can be a vehicle for storytelling, emotion, and musical discovery just as much as it can be about impact.

“I’ll Never Know” represents that shared creative DNA, bringing Tape B and Effin’s respective worlds into the same space while allowing each artist’s identity to remain intact. It is a meeting of hip-hop influence, modern bass production, nostalgic textures, inventive sampling, and a willingness to push beyond conventional genre boundaries.

The duo’s official release history together dates back to Effin’s acclaimed 2025 album Daydreams, where they first joined forces on “Ups and Downs.” The track swiftly incorporates hip-hop elements, reflecting their mutual connection and appreciation for the culture while outwardly establishing the creative chemistry that continues to develop.

Later that same year, the pair reunited for an unofficial remix of Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black,” earning 651K streams on SoundCloud alone and offering another example of their shared instinct for pulling from the past while giving those influences an entirely new life.

For both artists, the collaboration arrives at a moment of significant momentum. Tape B is coming off a major run that has included the Summer Program amphitheater co-headline tour with Levity, which moved more than 63,000 tickets across the run and delivered multiple sellouts, high-profile collaborations with Subtronics, Zeds Dead, and GRiZ, and major headline performances including his upcoming, nearly sold-out two-night Red Rocks run. 

Effin, meanwhile, is entering the next chapter of his career following a massive 2026 festival season, a run of new music, and the announcement of his January 16, 2027 headline at Denver’s Mission Ballroom - his largest headline show to date.

With “I’ll Never Know,” two of bass music’s most forward-thinking producers meet in the middle - proving that the most compelling collaborations are often born from shared influences, distinct identities, and a willingness to explore what happens when those worlds collide.

Chicago-born producer and DJ Azzecca today releases her new single ‘dissolve’ on her own Cosimea imprint. 

‘dissolve’ is a record defined by persistence. The demo followed Azzecca through years of studio sessions, taking on different forms as she continued returning to the idea and searching for the version that felt complete. That patience ultimately shaped one of her most dimensional productions to date. Buoyant and full-bodied, ‘dissolve’ moves fluidly between Azzecca’s heady house and kaleidoscopic techno, layering hypnotic textures over an insistent groove that pulls the track deeper into the dancefloor.

“‘Ddissolve’ has been worked and reworked into so many different tracks over the past couple of years. I knew it had potential and found myself coming back to it in every studio session. The wait was worth it and I am so happy with the final result.” – Azzecca.

The perseverance behind ‘dissolve’ feels particularly fitting amid a defining year for Azzecca. In April, she made her main lineup debut on Coachella's Yuma stage, then spent the summer expanding her discography with releases on Warehouse Project Records, ATW Records, and Factory93. She also set out on her Extended Sessions Tour, a headline run of 3+ hour sets centered around crate-digging, sonic exploration, and reconnecting with the dancefloor.

‘dissolve’ arrives as the tour comes full circle in Azzecca’s hometown, concluding with her official ARC pre-party at Castaways before she takes The Grid stage at ARC Festival on Friday. Azzecca will also host a pop-up DJ set at Pure Green that morning, featuring a custom flavor and limited-edition sleeve designs available exclusively on September 4.
