Sondela Recordings expands its vision with the launch of new imprint Sondela Volt, introducing a dedicated home for the deeper, darker and more club-focused edges of African electronic music. Marking the label's first release on 24 July, Volt opens its catalogue with 'Ascendance', a collaboration between returning Sondela artist Phila De Giant and label newcomer Ayden J.

Founded by the team behind Sondela Recordings, Sondela Volt has been created to champion records designed first and foremost for the dancefloor. While Sondela Recordings has built its reputation around celebrating the breadth, culture and global evolution of African electronic music, the new imprint narrows its focus towards peak-time club energy, exploring the driving worlds of Afro House, Afro Tech and 3Step through a distinctly underground lens.

Setting the tone is ‘Ascendance’, a powerful Afro Tech collaboration pairing returning Sondela’s Phila De Giant with emerging talent Ayden J. Built around hypnotic percussion, rolling grooves and peak-time energy, the release sets the blueprint for the sound Sondela Volt aims to champion.

The launch also represents the next step in Sondela's wider story. Since its inception in 2021 under Defected Records before evolving into an independent movement, Sondela Records has become one of the leading platforms championing innovative African electronic music and the artists shaping its future. Through a commitment to authenticity, cultural exchange and long-term artist development, the label has consistently sought to amplify voices from across the continent and its diaspora while helping redefine perceptions of Afro-inspired electronic music on the global stage.

With ‘Ascendance’, Sondela Volt signals the beginning of a new chapter, one that looks firmly towards the future of African electronic music while staying rooted in the dancefloors where these sounds continue to evolve.

Dance music powerhouse GRYFFIN, German hitmaker BUNT., and rising songstress Inéz today release their anticipated collaboration ‘World Away’ out now via 10K Projects. ‘World Away’ is the latest single to arrive as part of GRYFFIN’s highly-anticipated fourth studio album ELEMENTS I due out this Fall.

‘World Away’ is a collaboration eight years in the making between GRYFFIN and BUNT. The two are long time friends – GRYFFIN an early champion of BUNT. for nearly a decade, where BUNT was an early support act on GRYFFIN’s Gravity Tour eight years ago. He also notably played on GRYFFIN’s back-to-back sold-out nights at Red Rocks in 2023.

Bringing together three distinct musical identities, ‘World Away’ pairs GRYFFIN’s expansive melodic production with BUNT.’s signature electronic sensibilities and Inéz’s soaring vocal performance. Shimmering synths and driving rhythms carry the track from intimate verses (written by Andrew Tyler) into a euphoric chorus centered on love that endures across any distance. Anchored by the refrain “love will find us anyway,” the collaboration transforms separation into an uplifting reminder that genuine connection can withstand time, distance, and all of life's twists and turns.

Arriving as GRYFFIN marks a decade of music, ELEMENTS I begins the rollout of his fourth studio album alongside the four-part Ten Years Of Music concert series, which continues this Fall in New York, Los Angeles, and Colorado. The upcoming project explores the range of his sound through collaborations with Kygo, Khalid, Sasha Alex Sloan, AVELLO, and now BUNT. and Inéz, bringing together artists from across the electronic and pop spectrum. The album and limited-run live series capture the continued evolution of GRYFFIN’s artistry while setting the stage for his next creative chapter.

German producer BUNT. has carved out a lane entirely his own through his signature blend of folk-inspired songwriting and high-energy electronic production. The multi-platinum artist has built a global following with releases including ‘Clouds’ and ‘TRIPPIN,’ while continuing to expand his sound through experimentation with stutter house, deep house, and other corners of modern dance music. Alongside sold-out headline tours and major festival appearances, that versatility has established BUNT. as one of electronic music’s most distinctive crossover acts.

Inéz has quickly become one of electronic music's most sought-after vocalists and songwriters, earning collaborations with some of the scene's biggest names through her distinctive voice and emotionally resonant songwriting. Beyond her breakthrough on Peter Fox's 150M+ streaming hit 'Zukunft Pink,' she has worked with artists including Solomun, John Summit, and Subtronics, while also performing as one half of acclaimed avant-pop duo ÄTNA. Looking ahead, 2026 sees her expanding an already impressive catalog with upcoming releases alongside Anyma, Luude, and more, further cementing her place as one of dance music's most in-demand collaborators.

EMANUEL SATIE, MAGA AND TIM ENGELHARDT RELEASE HIGH-ENERGY SINGLE “LIFTED” VIA FACTORY 93 RECORDS

Renowned European producers Emanuel Satie, Maga and Tim Engalhardt are joined by Stee Downes to deliver an uplifting, vocal-driven house track

European heavyweights Emanuel Satie, Maga, and Tim Engelhardt join to release their new single via Factory 93 Records. Enlisting the prowess of Dublin producer and vocalist Stee Downes, "Lifted" is a vocal-led house track boasting an uplifting mood from four artists at the height of their craft. 

 Frankfurt-born Emanuel Satie is a Lisbon-based is an award-winning groove architect engineering an array of underground records shaped by his eclectic palate, unrivaled rhythmic sense, and a firm grasp on melodies spanning house and techno. 

Born in Nice, Maga is a Lisbon-based producer who began his musical journey as a nightclub owner in Cape Town at the age of 22, where he discovered his passion for music and spent countless hours refining his craft after closing the club each night. An analog enthusiast and melodic mastermind, his sound seamlessly blends deep, progressive, melodic, and organic house.

Tim Engelhardt is a German producer based in Cologne who is renowned for painstakingly detailed and emotive productions that are equal parts club-focused and compositional works of art. He has established himself as one of the most dynamic artists in modern electronic music, shaping the future of the industry with his forward-thinking approach. 

In “Lifted,” Downes contributes a jazz-influenced vocal performance characterized by clear, melodic delivery. The trio adds color and depth through a smooth classic house arrangement, marked by radiant Rhodes motifs, swinging disco strings, funky bass guitar, and crisp drums. 

It follows Emanuel and Maga's collaboration on the label last year "Knockout," which has amassed 954.7k streams to date, receiving radio support from BBC Radio 1, Radio FG, Kiss FM AUS, SLAM!, 5FM. Emanuel, Maga and Tim cofounded the burgeoning artist collective SCENARIOS (alongside Sean Doron), hosting showcases at Burning Man, Superior Ingredients, Amnesia Ibiza, LA, Cafe del Mar Phuket. They have an upcoming label show at Lula Club. The supergroup's music has received heavy support from Solomun, Damian Lazarus, Black Coffee, Sasha, Marco Caroloa, John Digweed.
