NORWEGIAN DUO MENTUM TRIGGER UNDERGROUND SYNERGY ACROSS CONTINENTS WITH NEW SINGLE ‘BREATHE’

Norwegian duo Mentum are firmly staking their claim at the forefront of the new wave of electronic talent emerging from the Nordics. Channelling raw emotional undercurrents into a magnetic, high-impact club cut, they launch infatuating new record ‘Breathe’ onto the international circuit.

Built with a DJ’s instinct for pacing, ‘Breathe’ thrives on tension. The groove is tight and deliberate, the low-end sculpted for maximum impact, while crisp, driving percussion pushes the track forward with tunnel-vision focus. “With ‘Breathe,’ we wanted to capture the visceral moment where you let yourself go and the world disappears, triggered by a total connection to someone else,” the duo explains.

Seasoned selectors know the value of the “attitude” record in a DJ set; the one that cuts through the haze and commands attention. Mentum produced ‘Breathe’ with that exact function in mind. “It’s a track born out of that tension between underground emotion and pure, high-energy dance precision. For us, it’s about more than just the drop; it’s about the weightless feeling you get when the music finally takes over.”

Bound together by the aux cord that first brought them together over a chance meeting at a house party in 2014, Tim Terkelsen and Finn Eriksrud are the driving force behind Mentum. An active DJ and producer alliance since 2016, the duo’s innate ability to craft emotive depth and mainstage power with technical precision, instrumental flair, and Finn’s vocal and songwriting talent, has captured the praise attention of industry heavyweights such as The Chainsmokers, R3HAB, and David Guetta.

2026 marks a definitive era for the now decade-long creative partnership Mentum who are intent on sharing their sound with the masses. Pulsating rave anthem ‘Antidote,’ in collaboration with Top100 DJ KAAZE, kicked things off as Mentum’s anticipated return to Spinnin’ Records. With the industry’s glare heighted on their next move, Tim and Finn now extend their creative output into LOCO MOTIV recs, the new label of Mentum which launches at the drop of new single ‘Breathe.’

BOSTON 168 LAUNCH NEW LABEL YOUR ACID MATE WITH DEBUT EP ‘YOUR ACID MATE 001’

Boston 168 are kicking off a new chapter with the launch of their own label, Your Acid Mate, landing 20th February 2026 with its first release, Your Acid Mate 001.

More than just a label, Your Acid Mate arrives as a manifesto, a dedicated outlet for raw acid pressure, psychedelic textures and high velocity techno, unbound by formula or fixed categories. It’s a natural evolution for the Turin born duo, whose analogue driven philosophy has long prioritised instinct, hardware and intensity over polish.

The 5 track EP captures that ethos in full force. ‘Magnetica’ rolls in with elastic 303 lines and tight, punchy drums, while ‘Jack Reborn’ and ‘Circuit 8’ lean into hypnotic, heads down momentum. ‘Jungle Heart’ takes things slightly deeper and more psychedelic before a shorter, DJ-ready edit of ‘Magnetica’ closes things out.

For Sergio Pace and Vincenzo Ferramosca, this marks a move into full creative autonomy. Known for fully hardware-based live performances built around iconic machines including the Roland TR-909 and TB-303, the pair have forged a reputation for immersive, high-voltage sets. From industrial spaces to major festival stages including Time Warp’s 30th anniversary, Boston 168 have consistently pushed acid techno into deeper, heavier territory.

Following acclaimed releases on labels such as Enemy, BPitch, Involve, Odd/Even & more, Your Acid Mate 001 signals the beginning of a broader curatorial vision. Now with Your Acid Mate, they’re creating a space that’s fully their own and is set to become a home for uncompromising club music rooted in analogue grit and forward-thinking experimentation.

Your Acid Mate 001 lands 20th February via Your Acid Mate.

DEEP DISH TEAM UP WITH NICOLE MOUDABER FOR SENSATIONAL OF ‘LOVE SOMEONE ELSE’

DEEP DISH X NICOLE MOUDABER X SKUNK ANANSIE ‘LOVE SOMEONE ELSE’ IS OUT NOW ON FACTORY 93 RECORDS

Great music doesn’t age, it evolves. Almost a decade on from its release, pioneering electronic music duo Deep Dish have combined forces with Music Queen Nicole Moudaber for a modern-day rework of ‘Love Someone Else’ with Skunk Anansie. Deep Dish x Nicole Moudaber x Skunk Anansie’s ‘Love Someone Else’ is out now via Factory 93 Records.

Originally released in 2016 on MOOD Records, Nicole’s revision of ‘Love Someone Else’ marked a distinctive creative chapter for Moudaber. Following her initial collaboration with Skunk Anansie frontwoman Skin, which resulted in their ‘Breed EP’ opus, the techno temptress turned her hand to reinterpreting one of the band’s original singles.

Not a remix in the traditional sense, ‘Love Someone Else’ was conceived as a revision: a reimagining that translated the emotional intensity of the original for the underground club scene.  A truly genre-defying production, with this collaboration Moudaber challenged the traditional boundaries between electronic music and alternative songwriting. It wasn’t a crossover designed for impact but instead the product of genuine chemistry and a desire to create without constraint. The result was a record that not only stood apart but stood the test of time.

Nearly a decade on, the track’s resonance has only grown as long-time admirers of the single, Deep Dish requested to license it again – a rare move that is testament to its lasting emotional and musical weight. Rather than simply revisiting the past, Moudaber stepped back into the project, re-engaging with the record from a contemporary perspective and instinctively reshaping it for today’s dancefloors.

“Skin and I first connected completely by chance on a flight, and that meeting led to our initial work together on the Breed EP. ‘Love Someone Else’ came afterwards, as my own interpretation of her original track. It was always about instinct and emotion rather than genre. When Deep Dish reached out all these years later, it felt natural to return to it again, to add a new touch and a new dimension.”

The resulting Deep Dish rework is not a reinvention, but a continuation. Their signature blend of futuristic melodic house fuses seamlessly with Nicole’s dark, driving sensibility for an infectious rhythm that allows Skin’s vocal to take on renewed intensity while preserving the spirit of the original collaboration.
