CANDIDATE AND SAIGON (UK) REUNITE UNDER INSOMNIAC'S IN / ROTATION IMPRINT WITH THEIR LATEST HOUSE COLLABORATION, "MIDNIGHT DREAM"

The two Liverpool-based producers add another house heater to their collection of forward-thinking collaborations with their new single for Insomniac’s offshoot imprint.

Liverpool-based producers Candidate and Saigon (UK) debut on Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION label on January 20th with their new single, “Midnight Dream,” a phantasmagoric house cut permeated with nostalgia.

Sleek and club-ready, “Midnight Dream” exhibits a more energetic and euphoric side of the UK pairing. Tethered to a spring-loaded drum groove, the track builds meticulously through glossy synth stabs, body-rockin’ rap vocal loops, and frothy flourishes. It follows a hypnotic minimal arrangement that feels ultra modern, with remnants of old-school elements poking through. Time starts to warp as the number approaches its apex, finishing off with a ‘90s-esque piano riff evoking the glory of the early rave generation.

Touching on what makes the single standout, Candidate says, “Super excited to release this one, which shows an uplifting and housier side to my productions.”

Echoing his sentiments, Saigon (UK) adds: “Looking forward to getting this one released. I think Candidate and I really got to show some of our high-energy music inspirations in this track.”

“Midnight Dream” marks yet another step in a prolific partnership that has seen Candidate and Saigon (UK) chip away at a nearly double-digit list of collaborations since 2024. From the acid-flecked single “Ladies & Gentlemen” to the slinky two-tracker ‘Steady On,’ they’ve been steadily collecting endorsements from radio heavyweights, including Arielle Free, Danny Howard, Curtis Jay, Sarah Story, Jaguar, and Leftwing : Kody.

Since launching the project in 2023, Candidate has pumped out a host of deep house and minimal rollers, often equipped with his signature hip-house sensibilities. His demand behind the decks has grown increasingly in those years, invited out to showcases for Eastenderz and Flow after making the rounds at respected UK rooms like Depot Cardiff and Lab 11.

On the other hand, Saigon (UK) continues to creep closer to the epicenter of the modern house scene. He’s spent the last five years crafting an impressive catalog characterized by chunky, deep tech club-pleasers. The word about his electrifying sets is starting to spread, with past appearances at landmark parties such as Defected Ibiza, Music On, No Art, You&Me, and Warehouse Project.

With “Midnight Dream,” Candidate and Saigon (UK) continue to strengthen their collaborative chemistry with a piano-laden house offering, pulling them into a euphoric, peak-time direction.

KENN COLT LANDS ON PYRO RECORDS WITH THE RELEASE OF PROGRESSIVE WEAPON ‘NEVER ENOUGH’ WITH FUTURE IDENTITY

German label PYRO Records opens 2026 with ‘Never Enough’, a new collaboration from Kenn Colt and Future Identity. Sitting comfortably between deep house, melodic textures and afro-influenced rhythms, the track offers a considered and immersive take on club-focused music, built as much for atmosphere as it is for movement.

Driven by warm basslines, understated percussion and carefully layered melodies, ‘Never Enough’ unfolds gradually. Its strength lies in restraint — allowing groove and emotion to develop naturally rather than relying on obvious drops or exaggerated dynamics. 2026’s inaugural Halcyon Label release explores love as sanctuary through ethereal vocals and a deeply personal production

Multi-disciplinary artist and producer Lauren Mia starts off the new year by delivering her most intimate vocal production to date, "Rhythm of Refuge", a powerful collaboration between two women - featuring vocalist Gabrielle Roman. Released via her own imprint, Halcyon Label, the deeply personal collaboration explores love as sanctuary, weaving together ethereal vocals with Lauren's signature emotive production to create a profound anthem on devotion and surrender.

"Rhythm of Refuge" represents a sonic love story, capturing the essence of a love that saves, heals and anchors. The track illustrates the kind of connection that feels both ancient and familiar - through the marriage of Lauren's intricate sound design and Gabrielle's evocative lyricism, the production creates a space where the two artists' essence find harmony. 

"Rhythm of Refuge is a love story in sound. We tried to illustrate a story about a love which we all want. A love that saves you, the kind that feels ancient and familiar, the kind that pulls you back into yourself when you lose your way," shares Lauren Mia. "It is about loving someone so deeply that their presence becomes your breath when you are drowning and the fire that warms you when you turn cold. They become the rhythm you return to, the calm you fall into, the water that cools you when you are burning. It is devotion, surrender, and safety woven into two heartbeats that become one. This song is a tribute to that kind of love, I think a love we all want and hope to have in this lifetime."

The collaboration between Lauren and Gabrielle emerged from an immediate creative connection, with the two artists forming a deep friendship alongside their musical partnership. The track evolved through countless studio sessions and iterations, with both artists investing tremendous energy into crafting a piece that captured the full emotional weight of their vision.

"Gabrielle and I are collaborators, colleagues, dear friends and soul sisters. It was love at first sight and I knew together we would create a really powerful piece. And we did," continues Lauren. "We spent so much time on this record together in the studio and other times separately. So many versions of the track. The track evolved over and over until we came to where it is now, where we all feel this part of the story is whole.”

Gabrielle Roman brings raw vulnerability to the track, her lyrics exploring the transformative power of finding someone who quiets the internal storm and provides genuine refuge from chaos.

"Rhythm of Refuge is about the one person who can actually quiet the storm you carry in your heart. The one who makes your whole system stop bracing for impact and who pulls you back to yourself without even trying," shares Gabrielle Roman. "Being close to them isn't a preference anymore; it's the only place where you feel steady again, where everything inside you finally stops shaking. With them, the world stops feeling like a battlefield and starts feeling survivable. I wrote the lyrics because that kind of love reshaped me, and Lauren's instrumental gave me the world to write it in. Her vision opened the door, and I stepped into it with the story. Underneath all the poetry, it's the kind of devotion that comes from living through your own wreckage and finally finding someone who doesn't add to your chaos, but instead anchors you through it."
