“Electronic music is rarely political. But as I look around and see acts of genocide, political violence, and a massive increase in racism and intolerance, I think that maybe it’s time it was. I’m angry, I’m frustrated, I’m heartbroken. Some days I struggle to create at all. This track is a battle cry to anyone who’s feeling paralysed by the state of the world right now.” - Father Funk

UK-bred, Vancouver-based bass disruptor Father Funk has unveiled a new punk-infused dubstep anthem, “Rage Again” - the second single from his forthcoming album, Funk The System, due out Friday, November 14. Featuring rapper Def3 (who is known for his collaborations with Mr. Bill, Dr. Fresch, Late Night Radio, and more), the overt political themes of “Rage Again” act as an extension of Funk The System’s overarching ethos: a project that refuses to abide by the conventional wisdom of bass music, and reinvents the genre through a funky, genre-blending lens.

Listeners got their first taste of Funk The System with the album’s lead single, “Trippy Road” - a collaboration with ProbCause and zoska. Blending live instrumentation (such as guitar, bass, brass, organ and clavinet) and genres such as trap, funk, hip-hop, and soul, “Trippy Road” showcased Father Funk’s newfound focus on songcraft that forgoes the conventional build-drop-build-drop formula.

On “Rage Again,” Father Funk imbues a similar genre-mashing ethos and songwriting approach. The song channels a ‘Rage Against The Machine meets Bass Music’ energy, and a nod to the duo's punk rock roots, fusing gritty electric guitar and bass riffs with smooth vocals and surges of dubstep bombast.

Rage Again” kicks off with live guitar recording before blasting into a section of propulsive rock drum rhythms and Def3 lyrics setting up the thematic tone of the song. In the song’s first verse, Def3 delivers a rapid-fire flow over a drum-and-bass beat. Then, in a seamless transition, the song explodes into a fiery wubby bass line - a head-banging wall of distorted bass that cruises along the trunk-rattling drums with infectious melodicism.

Rage Again” stands as a bass music anthem for our modern times: a politically charged track that looks at the world around us and translates that unrest into an urgent, electrifying soundscape. As a result, the track perfectly encapsulates the guiding philosophy of Funk The System. Playing by his own rules on this new album, Father Funk is building a new paradigm for the genre - one that subverts the irony and cynicism that has dominated the scene for years, and instead emphasizes sincerity, joy, and defiant independence from the music industry machine.

As a pink-haired, bass music producer with roots as a guitarist, bassist, and trombonist for various punk and ska bands - and now six years sober - Father Funk is already a bit of an electronic music outlier. Starting as a prominent figure in the Ghetto Funk scene, Father Funk has been able to pave his own path, endearing himself to fans and fellow musicians alike through his genre-defying bass style - leading to Beatport-charting singles (his track “Be Funky” was #1 on the Glitch Hop Chart); collaborations with artists such as Dirt Monkey, Boogie T, SubDocta, and SoDown; releases on labels such as Wakaan, Drama Club, Jadu DalaSpace Pizza Records, and Ghetto Funk; performances at international festivals such as Shambhala (which he’s played seven times), Glastonbury, Boomtown, ShindigRainbow Serpment, and Mushroom Valley; and a tour support spot alongside The Floozies.

Rage Again” releases amidst Father Funk’s ongoing international ‘Funk The System Tour’ - a globe-trotting run that’ll see the producer perform in cities such as Denver (for his debut headlining show in the city), Seattle, Vancouver, and Bristol.

ALAN WALKER AND ELLEY DUHÉ UNVEIL INTOXICATING DRUM & BASS-LACED SINGLE "MOONSHINE" DEBUTED AT UNITY AT THE SPHERE SHOW, AS JOINT RELEASE BETWEEN INSOMNIAC MUSIC GROUP AND TOMORROWLAND MUSIC

After their spectacular Unity shows at SPHERE Las Vegas, Insomniac and Tomorrowland team up once more. This time for a musical collaboration. Listen HERE to Moonshine by Alan Walker and Elley Duhé.

Following the groundbreaking Unity shows at SPHERE Las Vegas, where Insomniac and Tomorrowland joined forces to deliver one of the most innovative live experiences in electronic music, they reunite on a new creative front. Their latest collaboration arrives through Tomorrowland Music and Insomniac Music Group with the release of “Moonshine”, a new single by Alan Walker and Elley Duhé.

The track, which premiered during Walker’s Unity performance at SPHERE featuring a surprise appearance by Duhé, was written during an inspiring Insomniac x Kreatell songwriting camp at Insomniac Studios in Los Angeles earlier this summer. “Moonshine” blends Walker’s cinematic production with Duhé’s soulful, magnetic vocals, resulting in a track that feels both nostalgic and electrifying.

“We wanted to make something that feels timeless yet fresh.” says Alan Walker.

Lyrically, “Moonshine” captures the intoxicating highs and haunting pull of love that’s impossible to let go.“Loving you is like drinking moonshine, but it’s my fault, you’re so damn fine.” With its emotional hooks and atmospheric drop, the song bridges the raw storytelling of classic songwriting with the euphoric energy of modern electronic music.

Since his 2015 debut with the global hit “Faded”, Alan Walker has become one of the most influential names in electronic music, amassing over 100 billion audio and video streams and a global community of 150 million followers. Known for his distinctive sound and immersive storytelling, the Norwegian producer has spent the past year on his sold-out Walkerworld Tour, performing for over half a million fans across North America, Asia, and Europe. His latest album, Walkerworld 2.0, launched in early 2025 with a record-breaking global livestream and major digital campaign.

DISCIP SPREADS AFTER-HOURS PHILOSOPHY WITH RAP-TINGED INDIE DANCE CLUB RECORD "OFF THE CLOCK" VIA INSOMNIAC RECORDS

Argentinian’s explosive producer makes his debut appearance on Insomniac Records, an indie dance-tinged club bomb that’s ticking with a hyper-relatable late-night philosophy.

Discip makes a statement with his Insomniac Records debut, “Off the Clock,” a low-slung, vocal-led club weapon that blurs the lines between tech house grit and indie dance flair. Built around rap-driven vocal hooks and a hypnotic groove, the single channels his minimal foundations into a track primed for afterhours release.

Discip delivers a tightly wound groove laced with squelchy bassline bounce, zapping textures, and crisp percussion, setting the stage for a commanding rap-style vocal hook about grinding through the 9-to-5 and surrendering to afterhours freedom. A haze of detuned supersaws, quirky fills, and hypnotic repetition amplifies the track’s late-night philosophy, cementing “Off the Clock” as a versatile weapon for peak-time and underground settings alike.

Super excited to officially join the Insomniac family. It’s something I’ve been looking for, not just musically, but also being part of their events, which feels amazing. ‘Off the Clock’ was a track where I stepped outside my comfort zone and explored different sounds, and I really love how it turned out.”

Already tested on dancefloors by Mau P, Fisher, and Max Styler, “Off the Clock” arrives as Discip follows his high-profile collaboration with AYYBO on Solid Grooves, expanding his sonic reach while underscoring his adaptability across house subgenres. His catalog has earned airplay from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, Sarah Story, and Danny Howard, as well as support from Capital Dance and Kiss FM UK, reflecting a momentum that continues to grow across global tastemakers.

Discip’s touring schedule mirrors this rise, with his current ‘First Contact’ U.S. Tour hitting venues like Brooklyn Storehouse, Spybar, Marquee Las Vegas, Soundcheck, The Ave Live, and Art Basel (as part of the ‘Cloonee & Friends’ party). He has already left his mark on stages from Day Trip LA and Club Space Miami to Escapade Festival in Canada and Mau P’s ‘Baddest Behavior’ residency at Pacha Ibiza, solidifying his reputation as one of electronic music’s sharpest young talents. At just 21-years-old, Discip has carved a distinct lane by blending tech house minimalism with hip-hop influences, a sound that’s earned the backing of Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Michael Bibi, FISHER, and Joseph Capriati.

With “Off the Clock” marking his first outing on Insomniac Records, he opens a new chapter that both embraces current indie dance trends and positions him for the next stage of his global trajectory.

Discip is an emerging Argentine DJ and producer from Neuquén, who has quickly positioned himself as one of the most promising talents in the global electronic music scene. His unique style blends tech house and minimal with hip-hop influences, creating a fresh and distinctive sound that stands out. Despite his young career, Discip has garnered the support of iconic figures such as Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Michael Bibi, FISHER, and Joseph Capriati, who have featured his productions in their sets, taking them to international stages and solidifying his reputation in the industry. In 2023, at just 20 years old, Discip made a major leap by embarking on his first European tour, performing at renowned clubs in Spain, including INPUT Dance Club in Barcelona and Pandora Club in Seville. His success led to a second tour in 2024, debuting in new countries such as the United Kingdom and Italy. In the same year, he was part of standout lineups at prestigious venues like Cromie (Italy) and Cult Club (Brazil), sharing the stage with artists like Hot Since 82, Vintage Culture, Dennis Cruz, Ilario Alicante, Cloonee, and Wade, among others. In addition to his presence on international stages, Discip has established himself as a reference in music production. His tracks have climbed to the top of Beatport charts and have been released on renowned labels such as Revival NY, Desolat, and Take Notes, showcasing his ability to create tracks that define the current sound of the genre. With unstoppable momentum, Discip continues to leave his mark on the global scene, positioning himself as one of the most promising talents in electronic music.
