“I’m thrilled about this collaboration. I’ve admired Armin and his work for so many years. Back in the early 2000s, I released one of his earliest records under his ‘Problem Boy’ alias on my label Southeast Recordings. To now come together on ‘House Party’ feels like a true full-circle moment. It’s a groovy techno-trance record that instantly grabbed me, and when I was approached to do this collab, saying yes was the easiest decision ever.” Nicole Moudaber

“Nicole and I go way back, and premiering the track at Ultra felt like a full-circle moment. As the title says, ‘House Party’ is all about that raw, uniting energy that makes the dance floor come alive.” Armin van Buuren

Uniting two legacies, ‘House Party’ is more than a collaboration – it’s a cultural moment. CAPTAIN MUSTACHE DROPS HIS LUZ EP ON MOBILEE RECORDS

Following a series of standout singles, Captain Mustache finally unveils his new album Luz on the legendary mobilee. This genre-defying journey through light, darkness and electro nostalgia arrives on 12th September 2025 as a deeply personal yet collaborative statement from the French producer.

Following acclaimed releases on Kompakt, Permanent Vacation and Bedrock, Luz marks a new chapter for Captain Mustache. Inspired by his love of the album format, he uses this long plane format to break away from the constraints of club functionality and embrace a freer creative spirit. As such, the record embraces retro-future electro, EBM, techno, wave and rap on a hugely textured album that’s just as at home on the dancefloor as it is in headphones.

Luz means ‘light’ in Portuguese which reflects how this album explores both the light of day and the shadows of night. The 11-track record includes standout collaborations with friends and kindred spirits: Play Paul, Daft Punk’s Guy-Manuel’s brother reappears after their hit 'Everything' on Kompakt on opener 'The Pathetic. It's a sleek, futuristic electro-techno sound with sultry indie vocals. Mel. E. Logan of Chicks on Speed returns on the moody 'Pen Weapon' following previous fan-favourites like 'Mentally Naked' and 'Good Weather Girl', and the powerhouse duo of Sian and Sacha Robotti aka Third Culture bring their rhythmic firepower on lead single 'Vertigo' which is an arp-driven electro workout.

Solo cuts come with the chugging astral ascent of 'Dancing Like Muffins,' a real standout at the heart of the album. There is also Detroit electro jam 'Luz' and slinky rhythms and retro-future melodies of 'Black Light'. Alongside these are the starry melodies and sleek late night grooves of 'La Vertu' with Jean Brock and cosmic vibes of 'La Nuit' with techno icon POPOF. Both are tracks that previously lit up global DJ sets from the likes of Claptone, David Guetta and Paul van Dyk. Also featured is CS Rucker, an Albuquerque-based rapper who adds yet another unexpected texture to the backlit trap and broken beat fusion that is 'No Retreat' with its neon synths and smart bars.

Rooted in 80s and 90s synth nostalgia but always pushing forward, Luz redefines electro through a modern, emotional lens.

SIMINA GRIGORIU RETURNS TO OFF RECORDINGS WITH ‘PRECISION’EP

OUT NOW ON ALL STREAMING PLATFORMS

Berlin-based techno architect Simina Grigoriu returns with the ‘Precision’ EP on OFF Recordings, delivering two tracks that cut straight to the heart of her hypnotic, high-octane sound. Featuring the title track ‘Precision’ and the sprawling ‘Chiron Complex’, the EP confirms her reputation for meticulously crafted grooves that are as cerebral as they are physical.

The title track ‘Precision’ asserts itself from the first beat, a taut rhythm that twists and turns with meticulous intent. Squelchy, writhing synths ripple over the percussion, moving in unpredictable patterns that are both hypnotic and slightly disorienting. Layers of modulation shift and coil through the mix, creating a sense of constant motion and subtle tension, while the track’s forward drive keeps the listener locked in its orbit. It’s music that feels alive - its energy coiled and exacting, yet oddly playful, drawing the audience into a loop that’s equal parts cerebral and visceral.

‘Chiron Complex’ is no less direct but takes a different path to intensity. Beneath its rolling groove and muscular low-end, the track simmers with unease, building momentum through shifting layers of percussion and tightly coiled synths. The pivotal moment arrives as a stark siren motif emerges in the breakdown, a sound that feels both foreboding and hypnotic, stretching the tension almost unbearably before the rhythm crashes back in. It’s techno designed for the peak of the night - unyielding, immersive and edged with just enough menace to keep dancers on the brink.

Simina’s approach has always been about more than just making people move. Over the past decade, she has carved a distinctive space in techno: cerebral yet visceral, intricate yet intuitive. As the founder of Kuukou Records, she continues to champion forward-thinking electronic music, curating a catalog that balances technical mastery with raw energy, giving both established and emerging artists a platform to thrive.

The ‘Precision’ EP is another chapter in Simina’s evolving story - a release that not only highlights her technical finesse but also her vision for what modern techno can be. With every layer carefully sculpted and every beat meticulously placed, these tracks are designed to captivate the mind as much as the dancefloor. Sharp, immersive, and unflinchingly confident, the EP is a statement: Simina Grigoriu is defining her own rules, one groove at a time.
