Oskido’s Afro House Heritage Project reimagines his legendary catalogue through the lens of today’s Afro house innovators, bridging legacy with the future of the genre. Out via Legend Live label, the project kicks off on 29 August 2025 with Dr Feel & Oskido’s remix of the classic “Tsa Ma Ndebele Kids”, already championed by tastemakers including Themba, AMÉMÉ and Shimza.

This marks the first chapter in a three-phase rollout of the Tsa Ma Ndebele Remix Package, curated to carry timeless South African music into today’s global dance conversation. Further reworks from Manoo, Atmos Blaq and Mpho.Wav will follow between now and October.

A titan of South African music and one of the continent’s most respected cultural figures, Oskido presents this project as “the beginning of something bigger”; an initiative that merges heritage and innovation. The opening remix of “Tsa Ma Ndebele Kids” (originally featuring Candy) comes alive again with deep, spiritual synths and authentic vocal chants, offering a fresh Afro house energy that feels both contemporary and deeply rooted.

More than a remix package, the Afro House Heritage Project is a living tribute to Oskido’s trailblazing influence on Kwaito and South African house. As co-founder of the iconic Kalawa Jazmee Records and creator of the seminal Church Grooves series, he has shaped the continent’s soundscape and mentored generations of artists.

Now, as Afro house finds new global resonance, this project underscores how foundational voices remain central to its evolution. Alongside the rolling releases, expect exclusive DJ mixes, curated performances, and platform takeovers that deepen the dialogue between past, present, and future.
