GRYFFIN AND KASKADE UNITE FOR NEW COLLABORATION ‘IN MY HEAD’

Featuring UK Vocalist Nu-La
Out Now via 10K Projects

Dance music maverick Gryffin and electronic music legend Kaskade have united for the first time on their new collaborative single ‘In My Head’ featuring UK vocalist Nu-La out now via 10K Projects.

‘In My Head’ is a starlit collaboration that sees two titans of progressive dance music combine their generational sonic influences. Blending their emotive yet energetic signatures, Gryffin and Kaskade lay down entrancing melodies and driving basslines to elevate Nu-La’s powerful vocal performance. ‘In My Head’ is a heart-thumping hit that will heat up dancefloors all winter long.

“Kaskade has been one of my biggest idols since I first got into dance music. I’ve had the pleasure of playing on shows and developing a friendship, but now I couldn’t be more excited to finally have a collaboration with him. ‘In My Head’ feels like a perfect collab between us, as it represents both our styles coming together.” – Gryffin

“I've known Gryffin for years, including having him perform at Sun Soaked in 2017. With our shared San Francisco roots and West Coast base, this collaboration was long overdue but came at just the right moment. ‘In My Head’ is a piece of music that shows both of our strengths, and his classical music training brought a fresh perspective to the process. We've created a track with the kind of warm, sing-along energy perfect for getting through the winter months.” – Kaskade

Hot off the heels of his third studio album PULSE, 'In My Head' ushers in a new era for Gryffin and arrives following his monumental 2024, which included collaborations with Armin van Buuren, John Newman, Rita Ora, and more. Gryffin capped off last year with his five headline PULSE shows, supporting Kygo throughout Europe and performing across Australia as part of Palm Tree Music Festival. Gryffin will once again hit the road with upcoming festival appearances at EDC Mexico, Ultra, and Breakaway Dallas and Phoenix, and the return of his Wynn Las Vegas residency.

Kaskade is also coming off an impressive 2024 that started with him becoming the first in-game DJ at Super Bowl LVlll. Later in the year, Kaskade performed at the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix as the starting grid DJ. Kaskade also released collaborations with John Summit, Wilkinson, Punctual, and Enisa before concluding the year with his Christman mini-tour. ‘In My Head’ serves as Kaskade’s first release of 2025 and arrives ahead of his performance at BottleRock Napa Valley and his Zouk Nightclub Las Vegas residency.

Japanese-American producer, instrumentalist, songwriter, and DJ, Dan Griffith has built a breathtaking catalog of melodic dance originals and remixes as Gryffin. His platinum and gold-certified discography features collaborations with crossover acts like OneRepublic, Tinashe, MØ, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Noah Kahan, as well as electronic contemporaries including Kygo, Gorgon City, and Seven Lions. Gryffin released his chart-topping debut album Gravity in 2019, with his sophomore album Alive following in 2022 and third studio album PULSE in 2024. Gryffin launched the PULSE era with performances at Ultra Music Festival, Coachella’s DoLaB Stage, and EDC Las Vegas before setting out on his headline PULSE Tour, which included stops at New York’s Forest Hills Stadium, Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Seattle’s WAMU Theater, Minneapolis’ The Armory, and Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom.

Grammy-nominated electronic producer Kaskade emerged as one of the most successful American progressive house DJs of the 2000s, pioneering the concept of Las Vegas residencies and selling out arenas across America. With his bright, uplifting dance anthems, he was a steady presence on the U.S. dance charts into the 2010s with Top Ten releases that included chart-toppers Fire & Ice (2011) and Atmosphere (2013). One year later, I Remember (2014) compiled the best of his Ultra years, after which he renewed his contract with the label and released Automatic (2015). During the late 2010s, Raddon began rounding up his singles work into a series of releases titled Redux. Fire & Ice v3 arrived in 2022, the same year Kaskade debuted his project with deadmau5 titled Kx5.

JOHN ALTO UNLEASHES HEAVY-HITTING SINGLE, “DO YOU LIKE BASS”

Arriving As His First Solo Single Under Alesso’s Body Hi Imprint, The Club-Ready Track Has Already Received Support From Some Of The Scene’s Biggest Names

Los Angeles-based DJ and producer, John Alto, arrives on the scene with a heavy-hitting single – “Do You Like Bass”. The track arrived on Friday, January 31 as the emerging artist’s first solo single to release since being signed onto Alesso’s Body Hi imprint.

“Do You Like Bass” immediately catches listeners attention with the cheeky vocal sample that cuts through the mix with just the right amount of attitude, as if the track is asking the crowd to acknowledge the power of the thunderous bassline that drops in almost instantly after. The club-ready single is driven forward with a thick, full-bodied percussion – but it’s not heavy just for the sake of it; it’s precise, driving and unmistakably groovy. The interplay between a heavy bassline and playful vocals feel like a call-and-response with the track itself, giving it a viscerally addictive layer as the momentum continues to build. Listen to the track HERE.

From John Alto: “I was experimenting with some new sounds at the time and came across this amazing vocal that perfectly fit the vibe I was going for. I wanted to create a track that DJs could play live, whether at clubs or festivals. The bassline in the production is intentionally heavy—I really wanted it to be a track that could hit hard in the clubs.”

Purposefully crafted for live play, “Do You Like Bass” showcases Alto’s technical prowess through its hypnotic, raw energy that demands interaction from the crowd. Designed for the dance floor, the high-octane track has already seen support from some of the scene’s heaviest hitters including John Summit and Alesso, who played the song at Coachella in 2024. Whether it’s at a packed club or a massive festival stage, “Do You Like Bass” doesn’t just speak to the crowd – it commands it.

From John Alto: “After testing it out live a few times, and seeing Alesso drop it at Coachella and other big venues, I realized its potential. The reactions from artists I admire, like John Summit at his album release party, really confirmed it for me.”

The track arrives as the first solo third-party release on Alesso’s imprint, BodyHi, where Alto was the first artist to be officially signed to the label. The label marks a transition for Alesso from more commercial, dance-heavy beats into a sonic realm that is entirely more personal, intimate and timeless. The label serves as a dynamic platform, not only

highlighting Alesso’s unparalleled ability to fuse his production mastery across various strains of electronic music, but also pushing the boundaries of sound by showcasing the talents and influences that resonate with him, regardless of category.

From Alesso: “I am so excited for this to be the first solo release on BodyHi from someone other than myself – I created this label to make and share the music that I am excited about, and John was the first of a few select artists who I really wanted to showcase, especially after our most recent collab. I can’t wait for people to hear this track, and continue seeing John’s development within the BodyHi ecosystem.”

With American, Italian, and Danish roots, 24-year-old John Alto grew up in both Copenhagen and London. He began his musical journey in his teenage years, experimenting with various sounds and styles. John made his debut on Martin Garrix’s label, STMPD RCRDS, collaborating with the German duo TwoWorldsApart. Today, John's music fuses dark and eerie atmospheric elements with heavy bass line house and emotional pop, featuring experimental nuances that set him apart.

Recently, John relocated to Los Angeles to fully dedicate himself to his craft. His commitment was evident throughout 2024, from becoming the first artist signed to Alesso’s imprint BodyHi to his busy touring schedule – joining Alesso on tour in Salt Lake City, performing at The Midway in San Francisco, and opening for him at the Brooklyn Navy Yard in New York. 2025 is set to be Alto’s most promising year yet, kicking off the release of “Do You Like Bass,” with a debut EP on the way as well as an array of thrilling collaborations in the pipeline as he continues to catapult upward within the electronic music scene.
