MELODIC BASS TITANS SEVEN LIONS AND DABIN REUNITE FOR NEW COLLAB “ONES I USED TO LOVE”

OUT NOW ON OPHELIA RECORDS

Melodic dance music powerhouses Seven Lions and Dabin reunite for “Ones I Used To Love”, their highly anticipated second collab and follow-up to their Billboard Dance charting hit “First Time”. Coming off its debut at EDC Las Vegas, the track puts a modern spin on their beloved, heartfelt production with hooky vocal chops from Norwegian singer JIM, massive supersaws and euphoric drops.

Washington-based producer Seven Lions has never had an issue pushing the boundaries of electronic music to fulfill his creative vision. Catching a break after winning a Beatport remix contest in 2012 with his dubstep-focused version of Above & Beyond’s “You Got To Go”, Seven Lions, born Jeff Montalvo, garnered support from the likes of Anjunabeats, Casablanca, OWSLA, Viper Recordings, Republic Records, and Monstercat over the past ten years. After releasing on a plethora of labels, Seven Lions created Ophelia Records in 2018 which has since become a leading independent label in the melodic bass subgenre. Since its emergence only four years ago, the label has already made an imprint in the dance music scene having been voted Dancing Astronaut’s Label Of The Year in 2021, releasing multiple #1 iTunes Dance albums and hosting festival stage takeovers and showcases around the country. His productions have seen stages at world- renowned festivals including Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Zoo, and HARD.

Dabin is a JUNO nominated music producer/instrumentalist from Toronto. Having spent his teens learning to play the piano, drums and guitar, Dabin started producing electronic music in 2011. He quickly attracted the attention of Kannibalen Records and released his first tracks on the ever growing independent label only a year later. Now Dabin has increased his exposure by supplementing releases with Mr. Suicide Sheep’s Vancouver label, Seeking Blue.

Dabin has gained hundreds of millions of plays while refining his musical style into what it is today. His “Wild Youth” LP has seen Dabin solidify his signature sound which blends acoustic elements with electronic ones through a dance-pop lense, while his “Between Broken” LP further evolved his creative output. His high level of musicality has caught the ears of collaborators including Seven Lions, SLANDER, Said the Sky and Black Tiger Sex Machine, as well as Illenium who Dabin has collaborated with for “Hearts On Fire” and numerous tours together as a live band.

Now, Dabin has formed his own Sanctuary Live Band alongside members including Grabbitz that debuted in 2023. Dabin will also continue his unique live solo show at venues and festivals across the globe, including his very own festival, Stay In Bloom.

As the official record label of melodic dubstep leader Seven Lions, Ophelia Records is a label that promotes independent dance music across a wide range of genres. In just five years, Ophelia has become one of the hottest labels in electronic music thanks to its tight-knit community and ability to connect fans of melodic bass, dubstep, trance, psytrance, drum & bass, house and beyond. With over 200 catalog releases from acts such as SLANDER, Excision, Kill The Noise, MitiS, Jason Ross, NGHTMRE, Wooli, Trivecta, Blastoyz, Crystal Skies and Last Heroes, Ophelia has multiple #1 iTunes dance records and has been supported on the covers of mint and danceXL with additional playlisting on New Music Friday, Dance Rising, Bass Arcade and SiriusXM BPM.
