House music duo DONT BLINK is returning to Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION imprint with their second single, “DO IT LIKE ME,” a club-ready tech house track released

Bold and oozing with club favor, the follow-up offering from DONT BLINK finds the production pair turning one of their WIPs into a certified smash. “DO IT LIKE ME” is a deep tech club tool fueled by staticy stabs, warbling synth leads, tumbling basslines, shuffling drums, and pitched-down vocal loops.

DON’T BLINK recounts how the single came together: “‘DO IT LIKE ME’ was a sketch that got forgotten in our ‘Work In Progress’ folder for a while... At a show about six months ago, we went crate digging for some IDs that we never played to check if they sound any good. And ooh boy, did ‘DO IT LIKE ME’ crush it! It absolutely freaking slapped and was the track of the night! We immediately knew that we had to finish it, and have been playing it in all of our sets ever since! Proper rave vibes and relentless drives!”

With its founders originally from Germany and Estonia, DONT BLINK is a production duo specializing in pumping tech house that culls influences from techno, indie dance, progressive and afro house. They originally debuted on the label with their single “THE TIME IS NOW” in 2022, with radio support from Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, James Hype, CID, Plastik Funk, Bob Sinclair, Keeld, and Tough Love. They have an upcoming European Tour with stops at Egg London, Berlin, and Ibiza.

ORJAN NILSEN AND MARK SIXMA'S NILSIX ALIAS RETURNS TO DREAMSTATE RECORDS WITH THEIR NEWEST SINGLE, "BURNED"

Orjan Nilsen and Mark Sixma release another peak-time single from their collaborative project nilsix.

Dance music heavyweights Orjan Nilsen and Mark Sixma are keeping the momentum at maximum speed with their fourth single on Dreamstate Records, “Burned,” released underneath their joint alias, nilsix.

A scorching creation built around a melodic techno framework, “Burned” is ripe with emotion. Penned from the perspective of a romantic masochist, the track

touches on the inability to escape the flames of a toxic relationship. Propelled along by recoiling synth leads and sheeny melodic slides, the dark groove unfurls with masterfully executed tension before giving way to haunting vocals that depict the harsh reality. After the vocal-driven breakdown, the dark undertones and thunderous percussion return to the scene to hammer the infectious hook deeper into the heart of this melodic house & techno-powered beast.

Forged by two unstoppable forces in dance music, nilsix is the collaborative brainchild between Orjan Nilsen and Mark Sixma. Since launching the shared pseudonym on the label last year, the potent production pair has released a string of singles, including “The Void,” “Gone,” and their inaugural number “Anhedonia,” garnering live and radio tastemaker support from Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, Super8 & Tab, Suzy Solar, Judge Jules, Andy Moor, XiJaro & Pitch, Davey Asprey, and Alessandra Roncone.

The project enjoyed its live debut in North America at last year’s installment of Dreamstate SoCal, and have since followed up the breaking performance with stops at EDC Las Vegas and Transmission Festival.

“Burned” is set to be another notch in nilsix’s impressive discography, demonstrating their relentless innovation and mastery of blending genres.

nilsix is a joint venture of two of dance music’s finest – Orjan Nilsen and Mark Sixma. With a combined musical journey spanning 40 years, Orjan and Mark

bring a wealth of experience and innovation to craft. Orjan Nilsen, known as the “king of melodies,” is responsible for some of the biggest trance classics of all time. Mark Sixma, on the other hand, stands as one of the pioneers in the

creation of big room sounds, leaving an indelible mark on the electronic music landscape.

Despite their individual successes, both artists faced the challenges of severe burnout post COVID, which prompted them to go into the studio together to simply “have fun” again. This sparked into an incomparable source of motivation, leading to them completing over 10 demos in the span of just a few months. nilsix made an impactful debut with their single “Anhedonia,” which was signed to Dreamstate Records. This track quickly became the label’s most streamed

record to date, and they followed up with techno-infused record called “The Void”. Shortly after they took on the ambitious task of remixing one of Orjan’s most iconic classics, “XIING”, which released on Armind in November of 2023.

Taking the world by storm, nilsix shows no signs of stopping. Playing major events such as EDC Las Vegas, Dreamstate, Transmission, Euforia Festival, A State of Trance, and Creamfields, to name a few, and releases on labels such as Dreamstate, Revealed and Armind, it is certainly the year of nilsix and the best is yet to come.

CLOUDNONE AND LINNEY CREATE SOOTHING, ESCAPIST MELODIC HOUSE COLLAB "QUIET OF MY MIND" ON LOST IN DREAMS RECORDS

CloudNone and Linney unite to create a lush, cathartic melodic house collab.

CloudNone is an anonymous producer that has been raining down dance gems that fuse analog synths, rich atmospherics, and heartfelt vocals. Linney is an LA-based electronic artist whose captivating vocals have been taking over the dance scene. Joining forces comes the beautiful escapist anthem “Quiet Of My Mind” on Lost In Dreams. The release has been building anticipation after the pair debuted it live at the recent Lost In Dreams festival.   

“Quiet Of My Mind” is a gorgeous getaway from the anxiousness of our modern world. It dwells in a safe space, free from any stress, noise, and external factors. Linney’s engrossing vocals conjure up vivid images of a dreamlike sanctuary to a simpler, picturesque expanse. Ethereal melodies, subtle strings, and melancholic piano chords help to shade the soundscape offering a captivating backing that deepens the cinematic appeal. The namesake vocals are repeated in the hook as the track evolves into a bubbling house groove that fuses smooth basslines, crisp drums, and uplifting melodies. The second verse offers a contrast to the tranquility, traveling back to the overstimulated reality that will leave a burning desire to return to the soothing soundbed.

Linney opens up about her writing process, saying, “I started writing ‘Quiet Of My Mind’ during a time that I wished I could find peace with everything going on around me. I grew up on 10 acres of old farmland, and I now live in one of the biggest and busiest cities in the world (Los Angeles). It’s where I need to be right now, but sometimes I close my eyes and envision a small house by a stream where all I hear is rain and crickets as I'm falling asleep each night.”

CloudNone offers his perspective on the collaboration, sharing, “When Linney showed me this vocal that she had written, it hit me in just the right spot. I resonated deeply with it and knew I immediately had to contribute to it.”

Cloaked in mystery, CloudNone has been storming the dance and video game world with a distinct sound that is characterized by analog synths, rich atmospherics, and heartfelt vocals. He sports an impressive list of collaborations, which includes Elle Vee, Skybreak, Micah Martin, and Nina Sung. His work is well known to gamers with placements in Fortnite, Forza Horizon 5, and Rocket League.

Los Angeles-based artist Linney has become a stronghold in the dance music space with a voice that transcends genres. She’s fresh off of a massive performance alongside Steve Aoki on the mainstage at EDC Las Vegas, and boasts collaborations with  Nicky Romero, yetep, Manila Killa, KILL SCRIPT, Au5, MaRLo, Gareth Emery, and more.
